The government has no right to attack carmakers like this. Carmakers should be able to make whatever cars they want.
I think it's just like how God attacks the evil in people by reminding them they are going to go to hell if they keep it up, but reward them with heaven if they are good. Electric cars are good so it is good to make them and gas cars are bad so don't make those so much. And the more good cars our government gods make us but to get to heaven, the more heavenly the price becomes. We want the roads in California to be like the ones in Heaven. God is very happy about California, by the way.

Yeah, god's so happy with them he just sent them a blistering heat wave that is going to KO Los Angeles' power grid:

Yes but California is experiencing a great economy under liberal rule so it's pretty much time for them to give power back to the GOP.

California's economy is based on a house of cards and rich techno-liberals that are no different than the Koch bros. outside of social justice warrior issues.

Does this mean I'll be able to build my hot rods any way I want now? No more having to use C.A.R.B. certified parts? 🙂

Pssst....I'd been doing it anyway. I'm sure the 572 crate engine I put in my 78 Trans Am a few years back wouldn't ever pass smog. That's why it was registered in Oregon.

And I jest a bit here. The car was actually built in Washington state, in the part that doesn't smog check. It wouldn't pass smog here, hence it was registered at a buddy's address in Oregon.
It is a twin to this one:

Hilarious! Yeah, that house of cards has been going on for a long long time and California has more industries than just tech. Gotta love these fools. Be happy that states like CA, subsidize the poor Red states.

Yes. Why should they have to make electric cars. If the people want them then they will build them.

People didn't want to breathe shit air so we put in laws like this.

Why should companies be detached from consequences of the goods they produce?
Why do they have no responsibilities to those around them?

Same old song and dance. When the economy does well under liberals it's a house of cards or the numbers are rigged. When the GOP takes over, suddenly the numbers are honest. Remember the shit economy under Obama that is now setting records under Trump.

Protip: Place your bets on techno liberals.. If anyone is left standing on the rubble...

Lol what??...if we left it up to them, there probably wouldn't even be mandatory seatbelts or airbags or ABS yet. Carmakers are in it for profit, and they will cut whatever they can.
And that's not even getting into the pollution aspects...I'm sorry but I'd rather not be breathing in toxic fumes.

And you have the freedumb to not buy a car.

Hmm, I am wondering now if this is some sort of round about way to get the SC to declare the EPA unconstitutional.

Since this is an extreme forum.. how many hummers are selling compared to prius?

I bet there were more highlander sales (middle of the market) considering gas prices have been good for a few years till recently (Thanks Obama).

But Mileage does matter. So I'm betting there were more Prius sold than Hummers.
