President-elect Donald Trump is seeking top-secret security clearances for his adult children, CBS News reported on Monday.

The real estate mogul has asked the White House if he can obtain such clearances for Ivanka, Eric and Donald Jr., as well as his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
CBS reports that Trump’s children plan to run his businesses while he serves and also act as unpaid national security advisers, because he isn't permitted to hire those related to him.
Looks like we are in good hands.

National Security Advisors...lol this has to be a joke. Though from reports I've seen no one with National Security experience wants to work for him.

No conflicts of interest is this administration. Wonder how transparent the Trump administration will be?

lol when you consider his (crap) argument earlier that Trump Organization would have conflicts of interest because his kids would be running it.

Trump's only doing this to stroke his ego and gain financially. I love how all the conservative dolts think Trump is doing everyone a gracious favor by not taking the presidential salary.

He also wants Ivanka to have SS protection. None for his sons (except for Baron) or other daughter.

So the kids that are supposedly running the business free and clear of the presidency, which is a load of crap in itself, are to have national security clearance? We are being taken for a ride.

Remember, Bush had a semi-competent national security team and still dropped the ball on 9/11. Be scared, very scared.

Repubs and some rust belt Dems own this disaster all on their own. Can't even blame the MSM for this.

Children and grandchildren of a sitting President, Vice President, President-Elect and/or Vice President Elect all get Secret Service protection. Ex Presidents & ex First Ladies also qualify for lifetime SS protection. Ex-President's children only qualify until age 18,

That's what voting out of spite, instead of based on temperament and policy, gets you. I have far less empathy for the Rust Belt now than I did pre-election. At some point, you get the government you deserve, and the Rust Belt deserves this one. Of course, this news story isn't the reason most feel this way, it's just one of a hundred examples.

Don't be silly, everyone know this was coming.

Why not? Hell, give them the power to write Government Cheques as well. What could possibly go wrong?

You're right, I misread the article, it was pre-election.

No way his kids should have clearance.

They are going to run the businesses like a blind trust, you know, except not really. Now they need national security clearance so they can make doubly and bigly sure they aren't conflating business decisions with having insider access to....oh wait...it doesn't work that way.
