President-elect Donald Trump is reluctant to move into the White House full-time, the New York Times reported Friday.

Trump is reportedly talking to his adviser about splitting his time between Washington and his penthouse apartment in Manhattan, where he would often spend his nights during the campaign.
Advisers told the Times that the president-elect would like to spend his weekends either in his Trump Tower home, his New Jersey golf course or his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

But sources told the paper that Trump was impressed by the White House during his meeting with President Obama on Thursday.

This is man you elected president, Republicans.

Well, in truth, I would find it more disturbing if a billionaire was impressed with the White House as living quarters.

A nicer place to live is not really the point of the job. But it gets better:

Returning home to Trump Tower from the White House may not be Mr. Trump’s only embrace of the familiar. His aides say he has also expressed interest in continuing to hold the large rallies that were a staple of his candidacy. He likes the instant gratification and adulation that the cheering crowds provide, and his aides are discussing how they might accommodate his demand.
The guy ran for President just to stroke his own ego at rallies, and now he just wants more of the same, no interest in governing.

Maybe we got our first woman president, be it unofficially. And Ivanka will end up running the show from the shadows. I sort of like that idea, she seems smart and capable.

So suddenly Democrats switch from understanding the President can spend time on vacation, at golf courses, and run the country from anywhere. Now it's oval office or bust? Hahahaha... do we need a picture of that golf swing? Is it really necessary to drive the point home?

In today's world, management positions need an office for important moments / meetings, but not day-to-day operations.
It's called having a computer and a cell phone.

That is what makes all of these posts so silly. They just spent 8 years defending against these very types of attacks. Only to turn around and use the same tactics. If they thought they had the high ground before, how can they reasonably think they still have it on the other end?

Oh come on, it's not like the desire of the sitting leader of a country to regularly have crowds of his programmed followers adulating him is unprecedented. It's really not a big deal.

So POTUS is now a job you just call into from your apartment? I am looking forward to four more years of these lame excuses.

Until her dad finally takes it too far and doesn't stop at just grabbing. Family issues tend to get in the way of work, after all.

I was going to include them, but couldn't quickly find any images :) Just think, 80 years from now someone may be putting up stock images of Trump frenzied rallies into a VR based online forum.

Civil servants get full time pay for part time work, why not the president?

I thought he was going to make America Great Again. That's a full time job awash with overtime.

I thought he was going to make America Great Again. That's a full time job awash with overtime.

According to Republicans what made America great was that anyone could work hard, get rich and make their own hours after that.

According to Democrats what made America great was lazy union workers with plenty of break time and no productivity required in order to keep your job no matter how bad you are at it.

Don't you see the beauty of this? He's not even in office yet and he's reaching across the aisle to unite both parties in their respective views of the American Dream. He's a rich white guy who doesn't give a fuck, so he's a perfect Republican. And he's a lazy, surly SOB with a cushy government job where he doesn't have to do anything, so he's a perfect Democrat.

Donald Trump, the right man for all men.

One part hyperbole, one part recycling.
I sort of wish I cared about those golf topics, but maybe this will do.

Who took more vacation -- George W. Bush or Barack Obama?
"As a general rule, I think that he’s right that you can’t be held hostage to the news cycle — the man deserves a bit of downtime,"
Aug. 8, 2014, Knoller tweeted that Obama had taken 19 vacations totaling 125 days so far while in office.
George W. Bush’s 65 combined trips [...] totaled 407 days at the same point in his presidency.
The Camp David presidential retreat in western Maryland, which Knoller doesn’t count as "vacation."
A president "is never really on ‘vacation.’ The job and responsibilities go with him wherever he is."

I believe I'll find such sentiment from you.
Shall we continue?

It's weird how easily Trumpers lie to themselves. He could announce universal health care, open borders, or a gun ban tomorrow, and his supporters would defend him using the 'logic' that Obama and the Democrats wanted to do the same thing. Sad.

I've toured the WH, it's a 218 year old dump, I was shocked.

Haven't we been told over the last 8 years that it doesn't matter how many vacations you go on, how much golf you play, the WH is always with you?
