Reports are coming in. About 200 people showed up in NY, about 200 IN DC about the same in other cities.

Why does it matter if there is anybody at all ? This is what we get for the next 4 years, he already won I don't see why anybody would attend something like this no matter who the president is. Maybe I don't fully understand what this is about.

Seeing the news feeds now. They are happy with what Trumps doing per a few interviews. No surprise for the clueless. Not a lot of people showing up though. Come on. Come out of the closet. You can be proud.

In essence, it's about folks doubling down on stupid.

But hey, I am happy for them that they can exercise their right to free speech. Now the question needs to be asked: If they were protesters exercising that same right would they then have been arrested and accused of being a public nuisance and obstructing a public thoroughfare ?

Waiting for Trump to cheer "record-setting" numbers for these rallies, and to insist that they were bigger than the Women's March and the many other protests that were actually much larger than what we're seeing this weekend. Then again, he can't even rely on deceptive camera angles to make his case this time.

The majority of the US is against Trump, and tiny rallies like these only serve to drive that point home.

Watched a bit of fox rally coverage today and they were very careful about covering the rallies, close up of interviews, never much of the crowd and no mentioning of the crowd sizes. Can't piss off the boss.

We better hope to God that attempts by Trump and Bannon to manage the news are not successful in the end.

About the only thing that can save this country now is a free and pluralistic print, radio and TV media. Or access to world-wide news sources if people have less trust in an "establishment" media.

And the damn Republicans in congress had better step up to the plate. As much as Senator Graham-Cracker was in the ball-park today with his concerns, he voiced them in a slithery jelly-fish explication.

“These crutches came in handy when people started shoving,” Masker said.

She and the other student said one of the Trump supporters, who wore a gas mask and had a wooden shield, was one of the pepper sprayers. They said there were several isolated fights, but when they erupted, people from both sides tried to break them up.
