I wasn't arguing any points other than the fact that he is not a convicted felon or convicted rapist. Why are you trying to move the goalpost?
Referring to Trump as a "convicted felon" or "convicted rapist" is not accurate and you know it. Stick to the facts and leave the sensationalism for drooling masses.

You're playing semantics games and missed the point.

Just as how legally Trump was not convicted of rape a court of law found it perfectly acceptable to refer to him as a rapist. Similarly, Trump was found guilty of over 30 felonies by a jury of his peers and that's commonly understood as being a convicted felon. If you don't like it, take it up with the courts.

HOWEVER, there is one hopeful caveat. It is very clearly stated in the 22nd amendment that Trump would not be eligible to run again in 2028. So he would have have to find some mechanism to get around this. Granted, he has the Supreme Court in his pocket, but I am not sure they would go so far as to overturn a rule specifically and clearly stated in the Constitution. It is also very unlikely that enough states would ratify a new constitutional amendment to overturn the 22nd. So the only way I see that he could stay in power is to claim some national emergency and cancel or postpone the election. Even in our crazy political climate, I am not sure that would fly.

I think the more realistic danger is that he would manipulate the election process to install a handpicked successor (Vance on one of his kids??) to let Trump continue to run the country from behind the scenes.

Vance would presumably run in 2028 and as the VP could decide not to accept the EVs if they are not in his favor in a bid to have the house appoint him president. Assuming the courts went along with this.

At that point they would control the Congress, the army, and federal law enforcement. I imagine they would just say 'DEEP STATE' and ignore any contrary rulings.

You did in fact miss the point. It is perfectly acceptable to refer to him as a convicted felon in this context as that is how the word is commonly understood.

Similarly it is perfectly fine to refer to him as a rapist as he is also that as it is commonly understood.

How about this? Vance runs in 2028 with Trump as VP. Vance gets Congress to overturn the Electoral College and becomes President. Vance dies in a mysterious accident shortly after becoming President. Now Trump is President again, and the Supreme Court rules it is legitimate because Trump wasn't
"elected" to a third term.

I still have dont know how to interpret this. There are only really 3 possible scenarios:

1: An inside job by the Democrats. The Secret Service has to be in on it. And if it was an inside job, couldn't they at least have found somebody who was a good shot?
2: An inside job by Trump. Again, Trump would have to have somehow coerced the Secret Service to go along with the scheme and would also have to have agreed to have a bullet shot millimeters away from his head from over 100 yards. (unless the injury was faked, like pro wresting, hmmm isn't Trump a fan?)
3: Either an all time greatest brain fart by the USSS or they are just woefully incompetent and the shooter was just another mixed up kid with too easy access to a gun.

Considering the strange reaction of the crowd, and the USSS allowing Trump to stand up and gesture while leaving the stage, none of these really make sense. Using the simplest of possible choices, though, I have to go with #3, but there are still a lot of things that dont make sense.

This is what disgusts me, we've spent the last 30 years turning America into the great land of any fucking conspiracy is possible. Which is what has led us to this fine moment where Trump may be President again because America has been driven insane by propagandists for the sake of money.

Somewhere the coordination between the USSS and the local PD broke down and shit was missed allowing a kid to climb on a roof and take a shot.

I suppose you could say it started 30 years ago, but it really accelerated exponentially with Trump's presidency, the MAGA movement, Covid, the election denial, and the rise of social media.

It’s been 30 years of crisis that’s done a mental job on the US population. From the first Iraq war to now, war, Y2K, terrorism, war, housing bubble, Covid, and high inflation, all while sprinkled throughout with mass shootings at schools, concerts, work and various other (attempted) killings of political figures. Couple all that with stagnant wages, a culture of greed, profits over people, compromise is a dirty word, red vs blue, ridiculous housing/rent/healthcare costs and it’s no wonder we are where we are. People have checked out and that only exacerbates the problem even more.

Of course that’s not even mentioning the media, internet, foreign propaganda, and faux grass roots entities highjacking people’s legitimate concerns.

History will look on these times as the return of the dark ages.

Trump didn't leave until Shooter was confirmed down.

The crowd reaction was weird, but it's a weird crowd, so...it was over so quick they didn't know what happened until afterwards.

I think the rational in most people will get that. But so much weird shit happened, that this is one of those conspiracies that I don't fault anyone for.

For all we know, the son was just your bog standard, young wannabe mass shooter. Could just be that the cop investigating the roof surprised him, he then felt rushed, missed his shots, and got blown away by USSS for his troubles.

(Ultimately, the other big problem is something conservatives have foisted on us over 30 years: easier access and more widespread availability of firearms).

Trump most certainly IS a convicted felon. He was found guilty of 34 felony counts. He may be awaiting sentencing., but he has been CONVICTED of 34 felonies.

In what universe is a person convicted of a felony NOT a convicted felon?
