Press hasn't figured out this is not a both sides thing. By that frame they are giving Trump a pass.

Like my example I've used numerous times, Dems go 5 mph over the speed limit. Trump and the GOP go 50 mph over the speed limit and the press say both are guilty of speeding.

The national press isn't picking up some of bigger details about the shooter, like the fact that his classmates all have described him as very conservative.

When will conservatives stand up to Conservative on Conservative crime?

Not a surprise. From what I saw on Twitter from people who allegedly belonged to USSS in the past, and worked on presidential details, things on the medium threat space generally fell to local/state police.

They're also not asking for confirmation that he was actually hit by a bullet instead of glass from the teleprompter.

True from everything I've heard from ex SS. Locals were supposed to take that building. Question did SS actually tell the local PD? Seems there would have been a meeting with both groups in advance.

I still want to know, counter snipers had this guy in their sites BEFORE the first shot. Why wasn't Trump hustled off the stage when first spotted?

Yeah, that has to be the closest escape from assassination since that big table shielded that guy from the blast of the bomb left in the conference room, after the briefcase with it in got pushed further under it by people's feet. Or maybe since the time the same guy left a venue where he was giving a speech 10 minutes early because fog had grounded his plane and so wasn't there when the bomb on a timer (set weeks previously) went off and killed everyone in the building. Some people have the luck of the devil...almost as if Old Nick himself was looking out for them.

I think Reagan would count as a closer escape considering he was actually shot.

Nah. The cop interrupted him. If he wasnt forced to rush the shot, very likely different outcome and Cannon wouldn’t have needed to dismiss the documents case.

Well if it's true that the injury to Trump's ear was from the bullet grazing it, rather than from flying teleprompter glass (still doesn't seem definitively established which it was at this point), then arguably that's the lightest injury anyone could possibly receive and still claim to have been 'shot'.

Really waiting to see how this will affect his state of mind. I don't suppose there's the slightest chance that such a reminder of the fleeting nature of life might make him take a benevolent turn? Probably more likely he'll be more set on vengeance against his "enemies" than ever.

My partner is currently visiting family members who watch 3-7 hours of Fox News per day, I'm told some of the reporting over this weekend contained selections of Biden speeches that are clearly a call for violence.

I looked up the text, "Fox News says that if you cut and paste together things that Biden has said, it's extremely aggressive and violence seeking and encouraging the Democratic party to kill Trump."
