Trump ordered military strike on Iran, but reversed at last second

He is only pressing the pause button long enough so his shell companies can purchase more shares from the military industrial complex.
 
That's part of the issue here. People like to think that our government doesn't lie to us....and I mean beyond the Trump administration, but they do. They somewhat come forward with the truth when they absolutely have to, but there is a ton of things happening in the background daily that the general populous has no idea about and might take issue with. Some of it is required for national security, but the unknown is how much of it is for the self interests.

It would surprise most people to know that almost everything the govt does has a 'public version' and a 'real version' of events. The 'public version' only gets told if people pry, you never hear the 'real version' in most cases unless there's a very good reason to tell it, or it gets leaked/told by another country.
 
Note: Drone would likely be up at higher altitudes and making a shot from a land based system which under ideal conditions is rated at about 45 miles at a target 21 miles out at high altitude over international waters would be a "weird call" for any professional organization to make that's not in hot war.

The wreckage was allegedly pulled from Iranian territory.

Given our track record, I'd prefer to have radar tracks from 3 separate sources that have not been visited by US officials in the past 3 weeks.
 
Don't forget about those permenant tax cuts for the filthy rich. Trump supporters should remember that it will be them giving their lives as well as paying for this war out of their pockets while Richie Rich and his trust fund bone spurred brats get to stay in their comfy $2000 leather heated recliners watching on the news.
 
I think one of two things happened

1. He took a call from Putin with instructions OR
2. He blinked, chickened out, at the last second at the thought of 150 people dying by his hand. He pissed himself a little and grew another bone spur.

Which one is worse?

Number one is more likely than two, I doubt think Trump cares about people's lives. I think the most likely scenario is that someone informed Trump that if he attacked Iran that Iran would reply by targeting Trump properties directly.

Does Iran regularly send drones buzzing around just outside US territorial waters?

I mean if you go half-way across the world to buzz the borders of a touchy country, sooner or later there will be either a navigational error by one side or the other, or an over-reaction. To some degree you have to accept the inevitability of that...unless the whole purpose is to find a casus belle.

Iran has us surrounded by bases, oh wait I got that wrong it's the other way around. We're the USA we get to surround another country and threaten war for 40 years and then get mad when that country gets upset that they are targets of American aggression.

When I first heard of the incident I was angry enough to simply wash my hands of Iran... Stupid MF's Whatever happens happens... But I am happy Trump used better judgement at this point. It is, in fact, an unmanned drone. Sink an unmanned Sahand destroyer and call it even.
 
Yea, right now tensions are high everywhere. People are looking for anything to focus their rage on. Let cooler heads prevail. This country does not need another war at this time.
