There is nothing odd about it if you understand the nature of unconscious motivation. For them to admit to the fact that the party to which they are proud to belong and from which they derive a sense of self worth is actually a party full of such emotionally needy people they would consciously feel worthless were they to lose membership in it is, is to see that they will cling to it at at any price. We have no idea how worthless we feel and that any beloved patriot in our armor brings on the fear of death. This is true of all sacred cows.
The judge has allowed Trump to talk nasty about the judge and the prosecutor all he wants, so posts about the judge don't violate that order.
