"De Oliveira was referenced, but not named, in the original indictment, but was added as a third co-defendant in the case as one of those who loaded boxes of the documents onto a plane that flew Trump and his family to Bedminster, N.J. in summer 2021."

Who's buried in Ivana's (unkempt) tomb?
Maybe 40 years from now, an android with the face of Geraldo Rivera will host a TV special and dig it up…

I think the whole purpose of charging the aids who 'gave false' testimony is to get them to 'turn' and provide even more evidence against Trump (not that they need more); of course they also can't allow folks to lie so blatantly. You can take the 5th but lying is a big no-no.

Does any one know a good legal channel on YouTube that is following this besides Meidas Touch? I'd like to follow the case(s) on youtube, but their sensationalism drives me crazy.

I keep saying it and I will say it again. WHile there appears to be a lot of unknowns in the prosecution of Donald Trump i.e. judges... lawyers... motions... running out the clock... venues... and those inevitable looming SCOTUS decisions... none of this matters.
None of it will matter because there is the huge flaw in their plan to get Donald Trump back into the presidency. A massive flaw in Donald Trump's plan, and in the plan of those around him. That flaw? The flaw is... should Donald Trump get away with everything he has done and actually win the presidency, the flaw is that Trump will never be able to govern as president. To govern will be absolutely impossible. President elect Donald Trump will come up against obstacles that even Trump himself can not foresee.

A man with his baggage, despite what happens, or despite if he gets away with everything, a man with his baggage will find it impossible to govern. No one will take Trump seriously. The system will never take a president Donald Trump seriously. The institutions will never take a president Donald Trump seriously. The entire world will never take a president Donald Trump seriously.

Donald Trump thinks he has this all figured out. His lawyers believe they have this all figured out. Some Trump friendly judges even think they have this all figured out, but they are all so very wrong. Sure, Trump can and possibly will get away with murder so to speak, but he will never be able to perform as president. Or, perform the duties of president. Nada gonna happen.
And THIS is the flaw in their plan, for them to dare believe under a president Trump it would be business as usual. It will never be business as usual. It can never be, and the Trump presidency will prove unable to function and simply implode. Just like that sub exploring Titanic. Implosion.

However, it might be educational to experience how a government operates without a leader. At least for awhile. And under total marshal law given Trump's realization that he can not lead in any way and in any form in the normal sense.
Who knows which country may just step in and take us over? Better brush up on your Russian, folks.

Unless Trump is convicted and sent to prison, he'll run...even from prison, I think he'd run for office...and will still garner the majority of Republican votes.
IMO, the only POSSIBLE hope is if he can be disqualified from running under the 14th amendment...and I just don't see that happening.

The real question is who has a better shot? Trump or his replacement?

The bigger question is how many polling places will be threatened or attacked, and in what ways?

Well based on those numerous acts of violating the rule of law and dismantling the Constitution every which they can post WWII going forward to the present in those states that they control, I'd say given how Trump is going way out of his way toward riling up his followers into a frenzy with repeated lies, false accusations and conspiracies, I'd say the chances of Trump's plan to cause confusion, suspicion and acts that are meant to suppress and disenfranchise voters that support the Democrat party are going get a whole lot worse.

What the Republicans have already done to cheat their way to victories are simply rehearsals that put a finer edge to their future willful acts of treason, seditious conspiracies and election subversion. They'll get better at it come 2024. It's up to the rest of us to keep their malfeasance in check because they will do anything they can to suborn their way into controlling all three branches of gov't.

If he is elected he doesn't have to govern. There are enough laws in place allowing him to burn it to the ground.

Example: Day 1 pardon everyone associated with Jan 6. Imagine what that would do to the country.

This is a superior (to say the least) comment to a current opinion piece in The New York Times:

Steve
NYC Sept. 4

A British writer penned the best description of Donald Trump I’ve ever read:

“Why do most British people not like Donald Trump?”

A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.

Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.

I really don't think a government should own the copyright to a mug shot. But haha anyways.

People under indictment don't have unlimited rights. In this case, I hope Fulton County takes all the chips in the pot from his mug shot sales. This guy has to be taken down about 110 notches.

Abso-fucking-lutely.

Mug shots, like most government works shouldn't have a copyright period. Anyone should be able to do what ever they want with that picture.

The US copyright laws only apply to works created by the US government, not city, county, or state governments.
