A little devils advocate role playing here because... dems and libs can put themselves into the shoes of others and try to see the prospective from the other side. Maga? They are absolutely incapable of doing this. But here it goes.... my playing the devils advocate.
If I were defending Trump, I would first ask was there any actual damage done? Trump took boxes, he shows a few people items from those boxes and those people weren't necessarily special or important people. It was more a case of two things happening. #1, Trump is a hoarder plain and simple and #2, Trump is a big show off. That is what we are looking at here, if you want to play the devils advocate, we are looking at a hoarder and a show-off.
Why did Trump take the boxes and why did he lie about giving them back? Because like a child Donald Trump thinks anything he had as president is his to keep. But it's really only junk, the boxes are hoarder boxes. Look at how he stored them. They were stored as junk and not as if Trump actually valued them. That is the mindset of a hoarder. Family try to break the hoarding habit but the hoarder refuses and will actually become violent when insisting on keeping the junk.
You know who the real loser is here? Melania Trump. Donald is going to keep this junk until the day he dies, then as with any widow it will be up to Melania to finally get rid of the shit. Donald doesn't know why he does this, he's an idiot as are most hoarders. And his stubbornness to get rid of the shit makes no sense because hoarders are mentally sick people.
When I watch those hoarder TV shows and the families fighting their loved ones over hoarding a broken item with rat-piss all over it and the hoarder still refuses to part with the item, I feel the only real solution is to just take out a gun she shoot them in the head. That is about the only way to deal with a hoarder. Just blow them away and relieve them of their misery.
First of all, no one not even Donald believed he would ever be elected president. Everyone including Donald Trump believed Hillary had it wrapped up. So you have Donald Trump elected and he can't believe it. So naturally, anything and everything he touched as president he feels belongs to him. And damn it... he's going to keep it. I bet the Whitehouse china and the light fixtures are in those boxes too. And every roll of Whitehouse toilet paper not used.
And far as showing classified docs to visitors, Trump was just showing off. Acting the big man. SEE WHAT THE MILITARY PREPARED FOR ME? SEE THIS COOL MAP? THEY DID THIS FOR ME BECAUSE "I WAS THE PRESIDENT". And Trump says this like he can't himself believe it really happened, and he wants to show off to prove he was once really the president.
And the people Trump is trying to impress probably don't really give a damn, they are only acting polite and humoring Donald Trump. Trying to pretend they really care about an old map made up by some military types. So what, Donald.... So what?
And even with that showing off of classified docs, what damage was really done? It wasn't a Soviet spy looking at those documents, it was bored to death visitors that Trump was trying to impress. For Donald to say SEE, I REALLY WAS ONCE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. SEE? There was no damage done, no national security threatened. It was a child showing off his toys. His toys that grandma gave and grandma said NOW REMEMBER DONALD, LEAVE THE TOYS HERE AND YOU CAN PLAY WITH THEM WHEN YOU VISIT ME. But no.... Donald insisted on taking those toys home to his own house, Fuck grandma. Fuck the US government. Fuck the rules. Fuck Merrick Garland. I'm keeping my toys.
And no doubt Melania Trump says DONALD, DO YOU REALLY NEED THIS SHIT? NOW WE CAN'T USE THAT BATHROOM AND WE CANT USE THAT STAGE, SO DO YOU REALLY NEED THIS CRAP?
So with playing devils advocate, what harm did Donald Trump really do? He just wanted to keep "his stuff from grandmas house" i.e. the US government, and show it off to people. Donald Trump is like a little child, a child that hoards shit. Boxes and boxes that eventually it will be up to poor widowed Melania to dispose of. And as with most widows of hoarders she won't be happy about it. But at least she will get her bathroom back.
