This and Georgia are the two cases where he might actually receive real punishment, if they are not delayed long enough for a republican to win the presidency and pardon him.

It's amusing though that some people think the hush money case will land Trump in prison. That's just funny.
I don't think anything will happen in JawJa... Kemp is a Republican...he might not be a kisser of the ring, but he's still dependent on Republican money.

I don’t know, when he gets convicted for the documents, I’m still inclined that sentence will be house arrest. Like hardly any hardship for him in a golf resort.

What if part of the documents case is some kind of half baked plot to get General Milley out of the way so they could invoke the Insurrection Act?

My problem with all of these Trump allegations? The qualifiers. They always add in those qualifiers, and I see no difference with this headline....

Experts: New report suggests Trump may face "Espionage Act" charges

Qualifiers when it comes to Trump and allegations: May face. Is possibly. Has possibly. If it proves true. Should it prove true. Could have. May have. Might have. Yadada....
In short, we got nada.

I agree that he may not face real punishment as in jail time, but, there is a chance for these more serious charges for the classified documents and for election tampering, barring of course a Republican in power intervening. A lot of ifs. But a chance.

Jail time for the hush money? Laughable. Delusional. People who are clueless about our country and justice system.

Well, maybe.

Bill and Hillary ripped off a shitload of people with their whitewater real estate or whatever. Nothing serious happened.
I don't believe it was ever proved that B&H broke the law. Remember there are folks who buy swamp land in florida all the time; nothing illegal if i tell you here is some lovely land in florida and you plunk down money for it sight unseen. Having said that it doesn't mean it is right or ethical but certainly not illegal. However I will go one step further and say I have no clue what B&H role was with regards to whitewater thingy - i mean i remember a lot of noise but nothing even remotely close to evidence of their actual role.

You are not very smart.

Lol investigation now moving into potential tampering of the security footage. Okay documents may take longer than Jan 6

More details on the 'tampering' of footage - this is largely speculation but there are gaps in footage - also an eye witness has come forward to er rat on trump:

So Trump has claimed multiple times, including just last week, that he had declassified the records just by taking them to Mar-a-Lago. Now the National Archives is handing over 16 presidential records to the special counsel which prove that Trump knew this to be false, and that he knew the correct procedure for declassifying documents.

Anyone else wondering why there has been no indictment yet over the records? Seems open and shut to me.

There will be soon - there are a news article that Trump's lead attorney dealing with this document mess resign today - let me see if i can find one:

This revelation is a nothing burger. We all know he violated the presidential records act. Big deal there’s proof they showed him the requirements. We know he intentionally stole the documents no matter how much he proclaims his fake interpretation of how he thinks the PRA should be.

I agree it’s not the biggest thing but this isn’t necessarily only about the presidential records act. There’s considerable reason to believe they may be charging him under the espionage act, which is major jail time, and establishing his intent there is very relevant.

But...Trump declassified ALL the documents just because he said so!
(that's the Trumpie's view on it) He's the President...he has no "special rules for declassifying documents...he just has to think or say they are...🙄

Unless it consisted of 2 or fewer EASY to follow steps I doubt Trump would even be able to understand the correct procedure. Luckily ignorance isn't a valid excuse.

They already have solid evidence that he knew they were not declassified and was warned by his lawyer he could not keep them....

Silly peon...you act like any of that matters. King Donnie the Twice Impeached wanted thise documents, classification be damned...so he used his unlimited, all-powerful declassification brain, thought they were declassified ..and VOILA! They were declassified.
Legal or not, that's the mindset.

Personally, I'd love to see him get 20+ years for espionage...but that's the filthy Democrat in me

Such a nasty woman!

I know it an old childish saying but it applies. Smooth move Ex-Lax.

I'm sure it was, "I don't care, you lawyers are all alike, afraid to fight, well, this is what you are going to say in this letter to the DOJ". No lawyer in his right mind would allow this letter to be written or published. He think lawyers are just shields for committing crimes.
Oh well.

I'd like to see him get 20+ years because his arrogance has made him guilty as sin regardless of his party.
