...which basically means "We believe your privilege does not exist, because in conversations under privilege with your client, you received confessions of serious federal crimes. Is that true?" (Meaning: yes, we know what you know. We promise.)

It is one of only a few ways that you can ask to force an overturn of client privilege, isn't it?

He committed no crime until he is convicted in a court of law. All that evidence is just speculation. No one can logically put any of that data together and think he did crime.

It's just like immigrants who enter the United States illegally. They too are innocent until... Oh wait. Never mind. They are totally guilty. We saw them get out of the river and stuff.

I think the simplest and easiest way explanation is that conservatives are enraged by the fact that the law is applied to them.

It has nothing to do with statutes or whatever else, they think it is unfair that laws apply to everyone when they think laws should only apply to people they don’t like.

As an easy example they spent all of 2016 saying Hillary should be in prison for mishandling documents. As soon as an identical standard is applied to Trump it’s terribly unfair.

It’s not really that hard to figure out who would benefit from disclosure of this intel.

Iran intel benefits MBS and Mossad—I’m sure Trump’s properties have been crawling with Mossad/ex-Mossad and Saudi goons. Trump will let anyone have a peek for a favor—would you believe otherwise based on his leaked phone calls??

China intel benefits Russia and India—Putin and Modi have always been tight with Trump.

It sounds like they're just trying to pin down what the Trumpian declassification argument is so they can close off that absurd attempt at a defence. I think we're well into the making a solid case airtight phase of preparation.

Hell, the standard doesn't even have to be close to identical. Trumpers are still carrying on about Hunter's laptop. Which unless I missed a big something, there's zero proof there was ever anything illegal on it.

Meanwhile, I'm imagining if a secret video surfaced of Trump handing the Premier of China a folder that literally had a "top secret nuclear documents" label on it. His followers would find a way to downplay and deflect it.

Well you know how it goes Biden can do no right and Trump can do no wrong. Doesn't matter much if Trump is a self serving asshole and Biden at least at times attempt to do what seems decent.

Having said that Hunter is probably going to spend a bit of time in jail and Biden has made some mistakes and that's life.

Did Trump pay someone off because apparently mums the word.
Heck, I thought Trump was suppose to be in jail over this, and the insurrection, and his business undertakings, and his taxes, and that Russia thing. Instead, Trump is about to announce for a third run.
Are we suppose to care anymore?

DOJ is close, midterms will be over shortly. I would expect to see big moves before the end of the year.
