Your response is unfunny and insensitive, to say the least, and tendered to someone you should better get to know on a human level. Please take heed immediately, and walk your attitude back.

Which part? Only the first part was a joke, and it was funny - had nothing to do with sexuality. The rest was to show that the perceived insensitivity is a misunderstanding. The only thing I'm guilty of was assuming that Trump's lawyer was a male.

I'm sorry people are looking for things to be offended by.

Even though I question if Trump will actually see punishment worthwhile, I don't think him running to the Supreme Court is going to work out how he hopes. Sure, they are conservative, but what he's fighting isn't a conservative vs non-conservative topic. This is about established law. If they come back and state the president can do whatever he wants...above the law...etc...then I think at that moment BIden should go NovaBrandon and have a hey day.
Hate to break it to you, but the current SCOTUS has already ignored established law in previous rulings.. so I wouldn't set your hopes on that being the reason things won't go as Trump expected.

Crise everything i check this thread there are like 10 new pages of posts; how can anyone possibly keep up.
If you know the usernames here you can pretty much gloss over half of the posts in this thread. I only come here to find users who post news articles. Not really interested in all the arguments it spurs.

Hell, they got FACTS completely wrong in at least one decision (HS FB coach prayer at 50yd line).

Clarence Thomas has responded to Trump's request and set a deadline for the DOJ to respond to Trump's appeal to the SC to Tuesday.

unfortunately, i can't find an actual news source but this YT video discusses it and has screenshots of the filings...

The corrupted conservative majority in the SCOTUS is going to ram their agenda down America's throat with the arrogance and impunity that their lifelong tenures give them.

Things were bad enough when Roberts got ahold of the Court whereby he wanted to at the least have the appearance of being politically unbiased. But now, with the last three conservative appointments being of the most blatantly corrupted ever, especially in the way that McConnell jacked the last two stooges onto the SC bench it's open warfare against the liberal "socialists" of the nation.

Don't think there's anything he can take to the SC since the judge had to rescind her ruling on barring the FBI access to the classified material after the appeals court disapproved.

I predicted yesterday that either SC was going to deny to hear the case at all, or they were going to gear up and play some calvinball.
Folks, we have a ball game!

I think it has gone unnoticed that the thing Trump is appealing will have little to no effect on the criminal case against him even if SCOTUS ruled in his favor.

This ^. It would be the smallest of moral victories even if they heard it and found for Trump. It would in no way prevent DoJ from continuing with those ~100 "classified" docs.

I expect they'll either deny outright, or deny based on plaintiff not being able to demonstrate any irreparable harm.

Given Thomas' conncetions with Trump...and his wife's involvement with "The Big Lie" conspiracy, Thomas SHOULD recuse himself...but I have a better chance of hitting the Powerball for a Billion $$$ than of that actually happening.

The Supreme Court review may become double-mooted, 11th Circuit grants DOJ request to hear their appeal requesting to boot the entire Cannon/Trump fiasco out of her court on jurisdictional grounds, on an expedited schedule.
Also, I like the specific mention that the panel is randomly selected (unlike the jurisdiction shopping Trump/Cannon duo)...

Still, will not be until 2nd half of November for 11th Circuit gets chance to rule on the appeal, with final briefing Nov 17th before they will make decision. [And Trump can yet again appeal if he loses]

Edit: sidenote, I would point out that the 11th Circuit granted this appeal, demonstrating they have jurisdiction, less than 24 hours after Trump claimed to the Supreme Court that the 11th Circuit doesn't understand their own jurisdiction & shouldn't have had jurisdiction to hear the initial appeal of Cannon's ... magic sharpie rulings that Trump fully owns all government files, including top secret files, until and unless god proves otherwise (I might have paraphrased her ruling a bit in that last part)

As for his case, true, but a ruling in his favor would be used for political purposes, and to fuel his and the republican's attempt to discredit the DOJ and FBI.

They aren't going to rule in his favor on this. You may even see a one paragraph statement which is a refusal to hear the case. Like we saw with the two election conspiracy cases that went to the SCOTUS in 2020.
