Difference being one was the FBI and the other was the PoPo. Yes they're "the state" but two different organizations with two completely different cultures.

That being said, it's still a valid comparison. You shouldn't get your doors kicked in with guns drawn unless you're a drug lord, mob boss, etc. Not a government employee who was challenging DeSantis' totally mishandling of COVID.

They are required to by law. It is expected that the recipient and his law team will act responsibly with them as everyone has done for hundreds of years.

Much more reasonable to interpret that as a direct threat to Federal Law Enforcement than some sort of honest plea from a criminal to "smooth things over" with his cultists.

Of course, the cultists will be screaming by the end of the day that Deal Leader is begging to keep everyone safe and to "heal the country" and that not agreeing to his requests will somehow spell the end of democracy...and then use that to call for real violence.

This guy needs to find a tiger cage.
