Anyone want to take bets on how our resident Trump supporters will react to this?

IMO the possibilities are:

1 - Whatever the usual fence-sitting parrot squawk is, if convicted of a crime yadda yadda yadda
2 - Disagree with Trump on this one with an implication like Trump doing corrupt shit is the exception rather than a day ending in 'y'
3 - Pretend that this thread doesn't exist.
3 it will be 3

Re-Read 1984.

Trump supporters have their reality reshaped by whatever their supreme authority figure tells them reality looks like.

Next Week he could make $Trump an official currency of the USA and tell them it's always been that way, and they would believe it.

Dropping TRUMP Meme coin 2 days before becoming president. New SEC/DOJ guarantees no prosecution. 80% of tokens vest to insiders DURING the presidency. Most people losing money will be MAGA who aren't crypto native. Remember that Trump detains approximately 80% of the token supplies, he is basically one click away from pulling off the biggest rug pull in history.

"No one has seen the rug pull that I am about to pull. It'll be a great, big rug pull. The best rug pull anyone has ever seen!. Big, strong men will come up to me with tears in their eyes and thank me for this rug pull."

This is going to blow the door wide open for every grifter to pump more grift coins.

After all, the POTUS has just given the ultimate seal of approval to grift coins.

I mean this was basically already a thing. Internet famous people rug pulling the morons has been going on. Between crypto and online betting this country is headed for a huge reckoning somewhere down the road.

You mean to tell me that I can’t buy a ham sandwich with Hock Tuah coin?

It goes back to my opinion that separating fools from money is a social positive as fools won’t be allocating resources.

Seeing as the states initially lost an emoulments clause lawsuit against Trump for lack of standing, I wonder if someone losing out from trump coin could provide them with standing to sue?

On the positive side, at least he now has the means to pay back any Russian loans...

Pretty sure his entire business career shows that's not true, haha.

What he has now is a cult and impunity so he can scam them to his heart's content and no one will stop him.

He would have earned more as a passive investor than he did pulling scam bs for decades. He has an unquenchable fetish for ripping people off and corruption that literally no amount of money can satisfy.
I agree that his various mental disorders most likely make the idea of crushing people or making them subservient to him very attractive and that's what he likes about business.

While it seems absolutely true that his general laziness and incompetence led to his businesses being essentially a waste of time from a money making perspective but they did give him opportunities to live out his fantasies.

Yep. He's drastically under performed index funds since his father's initial gift of however many millions it was. He's done a whole lot of shady shit to end up doing worse than if he'd just sat on his gilded toilet doing absolutely nothing for 40yrs.
