If he didn't mean it he shouldn't have said it. If "people like you lie" isn't supposed to indicate that I am lying, why the hell did he say it? It's obvious what he meant, the fact that he used weasel words to avoid blatantly lying doesn't make him look any better in my eyes.

What he said was "Talking to people like you is like playing whack a mole." Don't see where he indicates you're specifically a liar, which you are. That, or you are a paid Russian troll. Take your pick.

There is zero contradiction. If Trump isn't guilty of anything, and has nothing to hide (as I ended the post), then he had no reason to replace the heads of other intelligence organizations who might be investigating the "Russian ties". There is absolutely zero contradiction.

I might be stupid, but I actually read articles. Just a little FYI: sometimes the truth in the body of the article is more useful than the click-bait headline. Grassley was merely holding the vote up until it actually had a chance of passing.

Edit: I watched it Blitzer asked do you have evidence of Trump/Russia collusion (essentially)? She answered "not at this time" (he thanked her but the audio was edited to cut off quick) and that appeared to be the end of the interview but I'm not sure if that was the end or how long the total interview was or what other questions were asked because of it being only one part of the interview.

They aren't trying to prove a negative, they are investigating a number of extremely serious crimes that may involve the president or members of his campaign/administration.

You seem really, really desperate to stop this investigation. Why? Wouldn't it make more sense to allow the professionals to decide what is worth investigating and what is not? They seem to think this is very, very worth investigating.

Yeah Blitzer does this a lot in his interviews. Essentially he will ask a quick yes or no question on a hot button issue to get someone on record. This is nothing.

I've gone on record here with my doubts that the top levels of the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government help them win the election. While I still believe that, I think there is substantial evidence of corruption and inappropriate or illegal contacts and meetings, and members of Trump's cabinet have already been caught in lies.

Under these circumstances, even some of the biggest Russia skeptics, like Glen Greenwald, are calling for a full and independent investigation, and I think it's pretty hard to make any serious case why one should not proceed.

I think the resistance to that investigation is probably because almost everyone recognizes that Trump is a corrupt man that surrounds himself with corrupt people, and any investigation is likely to turn up at least some of that corruption, more so than knowledge or suspicion of actual high level collusion with Russia, but that's just my speculation.
