They shouldn't be arrested, they should just be deported to Iran for a bit untill they have a sudden change of heart regarding how they view this country.

No other than Hillary Clinton supported this in 2005...

Yeah, no. That's twice in the last day he's shown he isn't a fan of the 1st amendment.

It's ok, instead of the flag people can just burn his hats and tacky Trump brand shirts. Until he outlaws that as well ...

I disagree with people burning the flag, but living in a free country demands that I accept that they have the right to do it.

Of course, this is the usual Trump twitter bullshit / bravado. Let me know when there's actually a chance of a constitutional amendment passing that would allow for flag burning to become a criminal offense. No idea why he's wasting time on this stuff, there have to be 100 things ranked higher on his to-do list at this point.

There will be no questioning the perfection of America. All hail Divine Leader Trump, ruler for life.

You're a coward and a traitor.
Guess you didn't read the wiki link

The Flag Protection Act of 2005 was a proposed United States federal law introduced by Senators Hillary Clinton and Robert Bennett. The law would have outlawed flag burning, and called for a punishment of one year in jail and a fine of $100,000

Is this the first time a mentally ill person has been elected to the office of President in the US ? He's consistently unhinged and incapable of recognizing his appalling behaviour, let alone controlling it. I think I've read that Reagan had dementia issues towards the end of his final term ? This must be the first instance of someone entering the office mentally ill from the outset.

Was watching a couple of the right wing sites to see how they would respond to this. Amazing how the freedom loving right are all in support of suppressing something that even Scalia himself wholeheartedly supported against his own personal feelings.

This was settled in 1969. Clinton was wrong for putting forward the bill she did and it never would have stood anyway.

It was a stupid idea then and it is a stupid idea now.

Man, we should totally condemn President Hillary Clinton for that then. I get the feeling that you're slowly but surely realizing what a disaster this guy is.

He does seem to be emotionally unstable to say the least. More importantly though I don't think he sees a difference between his personal goals and the country's goals. If he did I doubt he would be quite so brazen about his corruption.

Someone who called into a talk show had an interesting analogy on this. He compared Trump to a soldier in a firefight who starts worrying about the fly buzzing around is face and starts ignoring all the much more important stuff going around him. (The gentleman who said this was a Trump voter explaining his frustration with that aspect of Trump's personality).

Did I say that was okay? No, I didn't. And did Clinton ever say something about restricting First Amendment rights during the election? No, she didn't. I'd rather vote for the person who will probably uphold free speech rights given her current views than the person who showed obvious contempt for those rights during the election that just finished.

Actually I'm enjoying the melt down of you and your ilk on the forum, it's flat out hilarious. Going to be a fun/funny 4 or more years in here.

Oh no! Me and my 'ilk'! Haha!

I agree it's going to be a pretty fun and funny four years in here though, that's for sure. I mean you have to admit the mental gymnastics that you and other 'conservatives' are already going through to justify this idiot have been pretty great so far. I mean hell, look at what you just tried to post here. That was pretty amusing.

Just lol @ you libs that will probably criticize Trump for suggesting this while their queen (Killery) supported doing this very thing years ago. That's probably the only good thing she's done during her political career (besides suggesting to build a wall along our southern border).

Wait, we have to realize what a disaster this guy is because he agrees with the person you think should actually be in the White House? How would that have been any better in this case?

What's funny is that unlike you I have no problem with criticizing politicians that I agree with on a lot of issues because I'm not personally attached to them. Clinton has had plenty of positions that I've disagreed with over her political career. Who cares? What's funny is that you somehow think that any action Clinton might take would make Trump's behavior here any better. Isn't that the sort of reasoning small children use?

It was a general statement about his incompetence and corruption. If it took this flag burning statement to make someone realize that Trump is a disaster then I don't know what to say.

Saying "Hillary was for it too!" doesn't make Trump right. He's still wrong on this one, just like she was.
