I won't link to the daily mail or other similar sites because they're shit but in recent weeks some rags like dm or the nyp have covered a slimmer trump including some in action golf shots where his chest and belly are smaller. this all rides on the recent trend of eccentric American and British celebrities and wealthy people going on the new to weight loss hip drug called wegovy which is a trade name for semaglutide a compound originally developed for diabetics but has recently found a new treatment possibility.
I was talking to a friend from back home whose brother is a gp/physician serving an upper middle class area who'se become inundated with asks or asks for referrings to get onto this new drug. Ozempic has been the requested product back there which is another trades name for semaglutide. The Biden white house announced yesterday or the day before all forms of semaglitude are being considered for medicare coverage with a cap cost as the current pricing is too high if you're not wealthy or don't have very good insurance.
Not that I care what others due but the reliance on this drug with the WH now looking to cap costs makes me wonder if this is some big move by the government to get obesity rates down which are ever climbing. Although I do worry what the drug will do as time goes on. Will there be adverse issues down the line in 20 years?
