The U.S. women are World Cup champions. Millions of fans across America are celebrating. In parks, on downtown streets, in living rooms, and elsewhere.
So are the tens of thousands who travelled to France for the occasion. Fox News figured it would send a reporter and camera crew across the Atlantic to capture the scene in Lyon.

And ... uh ... they found quite a scene!

As the reporter started his spiel, shortly after the final whistle blew on a 2-0 U.S. victory, fans in the Lyon sports bar he’d trekked to struck up a chorus:

F*** Trump, f*** Trump, f*** Trump!”

Part of the context – though certainly not all of it – is that many of the world-champion women have been critical of President Trump. In an interview with Yahoo Sports in May, Megan Rapinoe called him “sexist,” “misogynistic,” “small-minded,” “racist” and “not a good person.”

Then, during the World Cup, a video of Rapinoe saying she wouldn’t go to the “f***ing” White House incited a miniature feud between the USWNT co-captain and the President.

A majority of the team’s fans, of course, would side with Rapinoe over Trump. So the let their feelings be known when Fox News gave them the air time.

And by the way, one of Trump’s criticisms of Rapinoe? “Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job!”

Consider the job finished. Rapinoe is not only taking home the World Cup. She’s adding a Golden Boot and Golden Ball to her trophy cabinet as well.
 
Strongman Trump is a weak man, but he plays a Strongman on TV.

Nothing new there. Bullies always project their own insecurities onto others, and then use any potential physical advantages to hurt or rape their victims.

Strongman Trump is literally recorded saying that he gets away with sexually assaulting women because he's rich and famous.

And scumfucks went out and voted for him, and will vote, and if necessary, die for him. Because they too, are weak and insecure.

Right-wing authoritarianism. Nothing new under the sun.

Well the way I figure it, those folks who voted for Trump have now had over two years to listen to his constant lying, his witness his megalomania in action, to see his narcissism deciding national policies, his alienating our allies while majorly sucking up to our enemies, his childish behavior, his misguided destructive self-reliance while eschewing the advice of experienced knowledgeable people from the various gov't agencies etc. etc.

So from here on in, I will have to assume that every person I see at one of his rallies have been living in caves in Carlsbad and are bused in, went with the super economy option for cable and sat dish where FOX is the one and only channel needed for entertainment and marching orders, have this amazing talent for filtering out and discarding the facts and truths of what they see and hear from their sources of information and/or go to Trump's rallies simply because it's just plain fun to act stupid with a whole lot of other folks who feel the same way.
