Trump - Is it all done with mirrors? (Bilateral gesturing)

Muse

Lifer
Why is it that Trump always seems to gesture with both hands doing the same thing. It's like a mirror image. I've noticed this for a long time. What's with this guy? There must be an explanation. It strikes me as very peculiar. I guess he thinks of himself as ultra-emphatic by doing that. Gesturing the same with both hands makes his point doubly emphatic? Have you noticed this? Nobody else does that. WTH is his self concept? What do you make of it?

I'm not aware of any psychological studies on such a thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has been looked at. Trump is known to very intentionally push power dynamics. The most sickening example of that is his hand-yanking instead of hand-shaking. I'm not sure how anyone could see him do that and not be filled with disgust.

What's really worrisome is that in that first picture, the people behind Trump are also gesturing with both hands. It's like a cult or something.

It's a trick he tries... You're dealing with Donald Trump here, I'm pulling you off balance, you have just been hypnotized, you will do as I say, as I want, you are in my power now until I let you go... now do my bidding and get out of here!

Yeah, that kind of nails it. I'm not the first guy to notice it, but people don't ordinarily talk about it, at least I hadn't seen it pointed out but it's a curiosity that I can't help thinking, wondering about. It's part of his peculiar means of self assertion. I've never seen anyone else employ this strange bilateral symmetry gesturing technique. It annoys me. Guess it doesn't bother his base, though. True believers are true believers. What can you do?

He always annoys me, actually. I don't ever watch his speeches. I watched the debates. When he won I felt a very dark persistent cloud fall on America that extends to some degree over the entire world. Guess that's just my perspective, though. They were gleeful in the Russian pubs when he won (some of them, anyway), I saw the video.
