So Trump is going to Mexico, and right before his immigration speech tonight?
I thought trump and republicans claimed Obama went against American values by seeking input from foreign leaders.
Guess that is just water under the bridge, or another Trump flip-flop?
And suppose Trump does meet with the president of Mexico, will the meeting be recorded for proof?
Trump could fly back, make his speech, and say anything he wanted.
Trump could claim Mexico promised to pay for the wall.
Trump could claim the president of Mexico prefers him as president over Hillary.
Trump could claim anything about the meeting, and if there is no proof, no video, then who would know?
All that would happen is the president of Mexico would deny what Trump claimed from the meeting, and Trump could just say president Enrique Peña Nieto was wrong, lying, misunderstood, or whatever.

Is this the example of how Trump would rule?
Before every decision, before every policy move, Trump would first need to "confer" with someone else?
And what about that dreaded phone call at 3am?
Where some tragedy has happened nationally or somewhere in the world?
Would a president Trump have to wait and "look into it" before decision making?
And what if that 3am phone call is from Putin claiming or threatening to launch nukes upon the city of New York?
Let me get back to you?

Trump visits Mexico.
Ok.... whatever...

If POM is smart he will secretly record conversations. Trump characterizes conversation, he releases tape.

No that wouldn't be smart it would reduce his credibility. He's said he will work with whomever is the next President.
I'd guess the meeting will be like this:
I'm not paying for that wall
Trump: I'll put an entry tax at the boarder and some taxes on Mexican stuff and I'll send some big contracts your way

OK sounds fine.

"In a shocking change of policy, Donald Trump has established a licensing agreement with the country of Mexico. The arrangement was made during an abrupt and and private meeting between Mr. Trump and the President of Mexico. When asked about the change in stance Mr. Trump stated 'I thought we could build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. We have come to the reality that isn't going to happen. So instead I talked to the head honcho of Mehico. Man to man stuff. And I said..I said...Enrique listen. Listen. I know I can't stop your murders, rapists and drug dealers from coming up here. Believe me, I want to be able to stop it. But I can't. So Enrique have I got a deal for you. How about I build tunnels and I'll put the Trump name on them. And each time someone uses those tunnels you pay me $10 in royalties and maintenance for their use. It's brilliant really. I can't stop them so I might as well make a buck on them. So to the..OH LOOK A CHOO CHOO TRAIN!!!!!
.....
...
..
*reporter gets Donald's attention back*

Oh yes. Believe me. I'm going to build a tunnel and I'm going to make Mexico pay for it!'

This could play well for the Donald or badly. Nieto is incredibly unpopular at home and Trump is loathed by the population. Nieto could use this as a way to come out to his people as standing up against Trump. "We met, I told him we aren't paying for shit and to stuff it". It will be interesting to see what comes out of this meeting publicly from Mexicos perspective.

Given that Nieto wants to make Mexico more like the US & Trump wants to make the US more like Mexico they may see eye to eye about advancing the interests of the international corporate plutocracy.

If we did and it kept Trump from returning, it may also keep the Mexicans out. Then what would you Ds do? You need them for the next underclass to exploit and beef up the D voter block.

Can we build a wall before he gets back?

When you make this shit up in your head, do you actually believe it.

Do you believe that the elites in DC actually care about the illegals coming here for altruistic reasons? Look, you're probably a great guy and a compassionate soul - like a great many people on here. I sincerely mean that. But I seriously doubt the DC power brokers that seem to be fine with people coming into the US free and clear view them as cheap labor and / or a potential voting block. That's what politics has become. I'm far from delusional; just realistic at what this country has become.

And for the record, I'm totally cool with immigration; so much so that I married an immigrant and we've been married for just over 30 years.

When he comes back, he's going to double down on his earlier flip flop on deportation to he won't be building a wall either, and he'll support even more open trade with Mexico. Shortly thereafter, it will be announced that his campaign had a record fundraising month.

Will do my best to answer each of your 'well thought out' questions. I can only try to help.

"So Trump is going to Mexico, and right before his immigration speech tonight?" That's what I read too.
"I thought trump and republicans claimed Obama went against American values by seeking input from foreign leaders." Please provide citations he's said that about Obama. I've never heard him say that. I believe he has said that Clinton shouldn't be taking money from foreign leaders for both ethical and legal reasons.
"Guess that is just water under the bridge, or another Trump flip-flop? " No idea what you are talking about.
"And suppose Trump does meet with the president of Mexico, will the meeting be recorded for proof?" There's a better chance of this meeting being recorded, than Hillary's meeting with Goldman Sachs! I'm sure that Sanders' supports would like to know what she said there.
"Trump could fly back, make his speech, and say anything he wanted." That's what Hillary does, but I don't believe that Trump will.
"Trump could claim Mexico promised to pay for the wall." Not very likely. Your tinfoil hat is tipping over.
"Trump could claim the president of Mexico prefers him as president over Hillary." I believe that Trump will let President Nieto speak for himself on that issue. Best if a foreign leader not make such a statement about either candidate. But that is his call.
"Trump could claim anything about the meeting, and if there is no proof, no video, then who would know?" If you thought about crashing the meeting earlier, we'd know the truth wouldn't we? A bit late now.
"All that would happen is the president of Mexico would deny what Trump claimed from the meeting, and Trump could just say president Enrique Peña Nieto was wrong, lying, misunderstood, or whatever." You're good at reporting the news before it happens. Sounds like you must work for the NY Times.

"Is this the example of how Trump would rule?" Talking to government leaders across the globe. Sounds about right. Good call.
"Before every decision, before every policy move, Trump would first need to "confer" with someone else?" Please cite a past president who did not confer with his staff before making policy decisions. Frankly, I can't think of one.
"And what about that dreaded phone call at 3am?" You mean that racist statement by then Senator Clinton on the 2008 campaign trail? Glad you brought that up. I'm ashamed of that too. And the way, Clinton got that Benghazi call at 3:30 in the afternoon. She never took the call. What a tragedy that turned out to be.
"Where some tragedy has happened nationally or somewhere in the world?" Is this connected to the 3AM phone call. If so, I'd say that I covered it pretty well. If not, please clarify if this is a different racist rant she made.
"Would a president Trump have to wait and "look into it" before decision making?" Don't you think that a president should confer with experts before making a decision? I do. You must be true libertarian who believes that there should be a one person administration.
"And what if that 3am phone call is from Putin claiming or threatening to launch nukes upon the city of New York?" So you do buy into that racist rant. Sorry to hear.
"Let me get back to you?" Sounds like you believe that a president works alone and the 5,000 advisors are just deadwood collecting a nice nest egg and pension, not to be conferred with ever.

"Trump visits Mexico.
Ok.... whatever..."

Maybe you were drunk when you posted this. Otherwise, wow!

Hey guys, I know he spent the last year and some calling Mexican immigrants rapists but I'm sure now that he's gone down to Mexico for a few hours and read a speech that it's all good now.

What a joke. This guy's incompetence seemingly knows no bounds. Has there ever been a more inept general election candidate?

Nominated by a major party? No.

How much did he get from Mexico to pay for the wall?

He apparently said we need to make the hemisphere's economy grow.

Now sure I know you might say that he's spent the last year ranting about how the US needs to win and how Mexico is screwing us but he swears that now he's really for everyone.

Well... I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so.... ;)
Trump now says one thing about what happened at the "meeting" and Peña Nieto has a different take as to what was said.
Trump claims the paying for the wall was not brought up in conversation.
Peña Nieto says he absolutely told Trump that Mexico WILL NOT pay.
Welcome to the presidency of Donald Trump.
Fours years of he said-she said.

Frankly, Donald is pretty old. 72, or something like that?
Would be the oldest president ever elected.
The two versions of the Peña Nieto meeting could mean two things. Either Donald has a hearing problem or Donald Trump has Alzheimer's.
Or.... Peña Nieto is a lier, or Trump is a lier.

Be concerned. Be VERY concerned.

honest question, has any other prez candidate met with heads of state prior to them getting elected? I can't recall any but then again, not too many modern day candidates have insulted as many people as drumpf has. No clue what happened at that meeting, and I doubt we'll ever know, just seems odd to have a candidate meet with the president of another country prior to getting elected.
