Trump invited companies to do business in the US but you must bend the knee first

This is how 3rd world countries do business. You have to align with the ruling government on everything first and provide favors to them. If you defy them, they can and will destroy your business.

We've seen many US companies start to bend the knee, including Amazon, Google, Meta, Apple, Oracle, OpenAI, and countless others. Everyone is trying to buy some favor from Trump and get on his good side. For example, Google has an anti-trust case against them now that could wreck them. Google just announced the end of DEI hiring, removed no weapons use for their AI pledge. No doubt this is to please Trump so that maybe he will stop the lawsuit.

My point is that in order to do business in the US, you will have to bend the knee for the Trump administration, instead of existing laws. It's very easy for a business to draw the ire of the Trump administration and Elon. Both control a huge following and can destroy a business overnight.

This is damaging to the reputation of doing business in the US, in my opinion. You can't have a stable long-term business environment like this.

Agreed. MAGA looked at Russia's corruption and thought it was a prize worth copying. Economic consequences will follow as Dear Leader is surrounded by yes-men who tell him what he wants to hear instead of the truth. America will act irrationally, profit will suffer and prices will rise without a merit based free market.

The issue is that Russia still lives due their nukes and the friendship with China. If they betrays China....
Heck, even before, the Soviet Union ending is what will happen to a country doing that thing. Surviving united is more an exception than a rule.

I'm old enough to remember when the two countries didn't get along very well...

LOL, I remember when India used to do this. For a while in the late 80s/early 90s, it was easier to get Coca Cola in the Soviet Union vs. India.
