Back on topic, anyone notice Ryan's sneaky remark when asked about torture?
He just said (paraphrasing)," it's illegal so I don't support it". Leaving himself open to say now that it's legal, I support it at a later date. Pretty sneaky Paul.

Reading is hard. What part of, "I've criticized the die-hard Dems here for refusing to look inward for explanations of Clinton's loss." was over your head?

My apologies. I should have stated that this wasn't directed at you per se and I probably should have snipped the quote. It was more directed to everyone else in general that keep bringing up popular vote. I piggy-backed off of your quote because I just didn't want to bring it up in this thread without an accompanying reason.

These days it's almost nostalgic to think back to when politicians would use weasel words for plausible deniability, instead of just lying outright then denying having said it two sentences later.

It's been a long time since I've been accused of being a conservative here, but the correct answer is both A and B. You're still clinging to the notion that election results have a single, simplistic explanation. They don't. Candidates win both on their own positives and their opponents' negatives.

Consider the recent Cowboys-Packers game. I saw a lot of Packers support among friends and on social media. The interesting bit was seeing how much of the Packers support came from people who just hated the Cowboys. They don't care who Dallas plays, they root for not-Dallas. The same is true in elections. In this case, Trump votes came from a mix of Trump supporters and Clinton haters. Similarly, Clinton votes came from a mix of Clinton supporters and Trump haters.

TL;DR -- the correct answer is C. Both

Congratulations on being put in a box! It's not so bad really because you are still you no matter what others say. :D

is it worth reading through or is it the same old bullshit from drumpf?

It's pretty much Drumpf.. but.. somehow more.

For example, talking about his speech to the CIA:

I then went up, paid great homage to the wall. I then spoke to the crowd. I got a standing ovation. In fact, they said it was the biggest standing ovation since Peyton Manning had won the Super Bowl and they said it was equal. I got a standing ovation. It lasted for a long period of time. What you do is take -- take out your tape -- you probably ran it live. I know when I do good speeches. I know when I do bad speeches. That speech was a total home run. They loved it. I could've ...

Just read the transcript.

What a disturbed, megalomaniac this tool is. I mean.. WTF?
I got to the part where he said we can't build roads and schools in the US anymore because we spent $6 trillion in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I don't think I've ever been more pissed off. All of that -- literally all of that -- is the Republicans fault. Trump was for Iraq. The people who support Trump today are the same people who pushed us into Iraq. They're the same people who always vote against every single school and highway tax and bond levy, which is the reason why our roads and schools are crumbling. What a fucking asshole. The hypocrisy is mind blowing.

We can't build roads or schools, but we have $10++ billion to build a stupid fucking wall apparently...

You're in a box as a result of box-dwelling. Party leader A fucks everything up? Better blame it all on everybody who pushed for the better alternative. Really shows what the ideology of individual responsibility is all about.
