Appeals court judge stops Trump's takeover of web-non profits (includes VOA).

Pro Quo [from article linked above]:
“Last Friday, POLITICO reported that OTF might need to cancel a contract for encryption software that helps people living in repressive regimes such as Iran and China access impartial news without their government’s knowledge.
At a court hearing on June 26, a Justice Department lawyer indicated that a freeze on OTF's funding had been or was about to be lifted. An official with the Agency for Global Media said Tuesday that, nearly a month later, the funding stream has yet to resume.”
...
"Over the past few weeks, Pack and his agents have tried to install an 'Acting CEO' for OTF, have tried to gain entry into OTF's office space, and even tried to force OTF's landlord to turn over control of its lease," Gupta said. "This doesn't just harm OTF and the people who work there. OTF works to advance internet freedom in repressive regimes around the world and Pack's actions have put the safety of activists and journalists, in places like Tehran and Hong Kong, at risk."

"God damn activist judges!" (Somehow not activism when sentencing in favor of conservative ideology, though...)

Trump can flood the swamp with his hand picked critters all he likes but the next guy moving into the White House (hopefully Biden) will, unlike what Trump promised and reneged on, actually drain that swamp that Trump filled with corporate ripoff artists and (virtually) fill it in with nice clean topsoil, plant trees, shrubs and gardens and to really piss off Trump and his lackeys, build a Nature Park over it featuring exhibits and running classes on environmental awareness, pollution and climate change mitigation programs. etc.

Oh Boy ! A taxpayer funded Fox/OANN style right-wing propaganda global media group, what could go wrong?

168k people dying with more on the way because masks are now a political choice, a cratering economy, and a democracy on the verge of dying. Those are just some of the things that could go wrong.

The paranoid part of my brain wonders what Pack could possibly hope to accomplish between now and Inauguration Day, knowing his ass is toast on Day 0. What are they gearing up for leading up to Election Day and the lame duck period?

Operation "Dominate the streets" makes a hell of a lot more sense now... a dress rehearsal come stolen election... Publicly and outwards he will claim the resulting uprising is all antifas and anarchists.

Well—it doesn’t seem to be going well for VoA now that Agent Krasnov is back.

The director of Voice of America said that more than 1,300 journalists, producers and support staff have been placed on administrative leave following Donald Trump‘s executive order to dismantle the U.S. Agency for Global Media.

“I am deeply saddened that for the first time in 83 years, the stories Voice of America is being silenced,” VOA Director Michael Abramowitz wrote in a statement.

“VOA needs thoughtful reform, and we have made progress in that regard. But today’s action will leave Voice of America unable to carry out its vital mission.

Another pillar of American soft power being gutted.

Silencing voices and replacing it with state propaganda is right out of the Authoritarians Handbook. So again I wonder is this the kind of racist totalitarian leadership the folks who put Trump in office really wanted? And what did they actually think they'd get out of him once they gave him the keys to our nuclear warhead stockpile?

Well, here's the shortest rant I could come up with as far as installing a racist adulterating felonious moron as POTUS: WTF? WHY?

I'm so shocked that's it's come to this. We can't let anybody know we are the land of the free. Well, we used to be at least. Yeah, never mind, it fits.
