ISIS on the rise ... in Syria and Iraq.

From a pentagon report

"A report from the Pentagon inspector general found that President Donald Trump's decision to rapidly pull troops out of Syria and divert attention from diplomacy in Iraq has inadvertently aided the Islamic State's regrouping in Syria and Iraq."

Oh hey, great timing...

Sue Gordon has resigned as deputy director of national intelligence
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/na...eputy-director-national-intelligence-n1040616

A source with direct knowledge told NBC News that Coats had recommended that Gordon replace him, but that White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney told him they had someone else in mind.

When Coats told that to Gordon, she felt she had no choice but to hand in her resignation, the source said.

Her departure may raise the hackles of both Republican and Democratic senators, who supported her vigorously. The source said she recently had assured Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia, the ranking Democrat on the committee, that she would stay on and serve as acting DNI.

Hey quislings, care to share why Gordon didn't deserve to be acting director, or are you still waiting for your Fox talking points??

Can't blame her. When all the admin wants to bring in as her superior is the IC equivalent of an unpaid intern ... yeah, I'd find somewhere else to be too.

The long term damage being done by this admin to staffing of career, non-appointed positions the entire government over will be staggering.

#1 and #2 both resigning together! I can't blame them but the nation should be very worried.

Dan Coats was one of the few people willing to tell the truth. Now Trump can put a stooge in there that will shape intelligence to his liking.
