He claims that Mainstream media isn't Free Speech due to being "biased against him". Also wants his Administration check all the Federal Laws to see what he can do about this. Sorry Trump. but USSC decisions have been very clear about this, this is Free Speech.

I am worried about future USSC Judges. If it becomes packed with Right Wingers, well then good bye Free Speech and the USA will be in name only.
 
Sadly, this is just the most direct manifestation of his past views. See his desire for the FCC to revoke NBC's broadcasting license, his desire to expand libel laws, his not-so-subtle encouragement of violence against the press...

Friendly reminder folks: this is why you absolutely must vote Democrat in 2020. Trump may be thwarted by the courts in his desire to silence all dissent, but we shouldn't give him the chance to test those limits.

No, his opponents actually understand that free speech means private companies are free to decide what speech they host on their platforms. Modern American conservatives want to violate free speech rights by forcing companies to carry their ideology, no matter how demonstrably false and hate-filled it is.

If I am still up to date on right wing talking points, UC could be referring to regressive elements at college campuses who protest, attack, and shut down political opponents.

While certainly an issue, that wouldn't exactly compare to the office of the President wanting to become the worst offender.

The conservative mindset has been co-opted by a narcissistic racist con man president and symbolic head of the party. He has managed to bring out the very worst of what the party had the potential for. He has stood by and identified with the white supremacists and Nazis. He unabashedly favors the wealthy of the nation and does not care at all about how blatant he is about his penchant for lying and contradicting himself all because his base has given him free rein for being who he wants to/has to be, thus compelling the rest of the party to follow suit or be branded as treasonous outcasts.

In order to support Trump's efforts to gut the Constitution's tenets that represent a major obstacle toward Trump's efforts to "be the despot he wants to be", his supporters and their party's leadership have had to make egregious attempts at suppressing the nation's efforts at calling out Trump for pushing hard on his divisionist hate and fear campaign.

Calling facts about Trump's numerous deficiencies and mistakes fake news and flabbergasting stabs at spinning up conspiracies "against the nation (Trump)" is the net result of their attempts.

It's just too bad that Trump can'r run on what he's accomplished for his working class constituency (practically none) and must resort to making false self-aggrandizing pronouncements while incessantly lying in order to silence the truthful criticisms coming his way.

Trump is forced to play that race card over and over and over and over and over and over again and again and again because...........he has absolutely nothing factual to point to as far as what he has done in a meaningful kind of way for the average working class American.

And he absolutely has to distract away from the deep trouble he's in with the ongoing investigations by the House that is in the process of exposing Trump's malfeasance so convincingly that it will put McConnell's Repubs in the Senate in a very glaring accusatory bind as being seen as Trump's willing accomplices who have been aiding and abetting a known criminal since Trump conned his way into power OR, be seen as real American patriots enforcing the Rule of Law and the Legislature's sworn duty to provide oversight of the executive branch of which has been attacking the Constitution's protective tenets with everything they have to throw at it.

edit - As an aside, this stupid ploy that many of Trump's supporters have been using to "fight back" against "the non-white socialist commie Muslim terrorist females" that just got elected to the House whereby "Trump is "playing them for the fools they are" smacks of a very weak and lame last line of defense for their president of whom is doing his very best to prove them wrong every time he opens his yapper.
