The vetting of Syrian refugees is a joke and everyone knows it. The Syrian government is largely non-existent at the moment, and as we're the ones who made it that way, feeding us accurate information isn't exactly a priority. Given that we can't even properly vet a Saudi Muslim with actual verifiable jihadi posts and terrorist ties, we have zero chance of vetting any Syrian unless they simply cannot keep their mouths from spouting off jihadi slogans during the actual interview. (And as we saw in the nightclub shooting, even that often doesn't make the cut.)
