Gosh, you missed an opportunity to hire him and give him a tip and tell him you're a liberal and have heard that he isn't and wanted him to know he has value as a fellow human being anyway. But, I understand that is an attitude that not everyone shares, that most people believe that what they believe is the good but might not actually be. I'm gullible. I try to see the good in people and it's easier for me because I know why they aren't superficially. Since I think we create the world to the level of our vision why not shoot for the image of God as a return of the favor he gave to us.
TBH I'm way too much of an atheist for any of that. And I'm not evangelical at all. I would not see dealing with this guy as an opportunity to show him the error of his ways. I don't roll that way. He does him, I do me. If he's been filling his brain with bullshit for years on end, I have to figure he's a lost cause. Why can't you? Just because he's a 1/2 decent plumber doesn't mean shit to me. I needed an exceptional plumber because it was a challenging plumbing problem. My "friend" wasn't able to fix it when he came over with his truck outfitted for taking on all the plumbing issues he'd faced for decades. I figured that a Fox News watcher is exactly the plumber I did not want. Very good chance he would have fucked it up. I figure I would be stupid to let him try. Just because he was used to charging less than the other guys? Pure folly.

No problem. I don't look at it as an opportunity to show him the error of his ways but as an opportunity for me to show you what I hope I would have thought of doing were I in your shoes. I probably would not have and acted as you did.

Really, I think it egotistical to confront someone you've never met with the intention of enlightening them.

I wanted to tell you about an idea I wish to aspire to. Your post gave me the opportunity to see it. Thank you.

I didn't see the speech but I thought the transcript was great. I hope he emphasized "former" each and every time he said it just to rub some salt in Trump's wounded ego.
Also, the real hit, "defeated"!!!

I love that quote, “He’s not just a former president. He’s a defeated former president — defeated by a margin of over seven million of your votes in a full and free and fair election.”

That was the highlight of the speech for me, as I envisioned the loser throwing things and having a meltdown.

Also threw shade in todays economy speech. The former president would be boasting about all the stock records. We’re up 20% currently over the past year!!!

Darkness to light.
