Poor baby. Mr. snowflake attempt at a comeback is not going so well. As usual the grievance...

Trump abruptly cancels planned Jan. 6th anniversary speech, throws temper tantrum | Salon.com

In a statement released on Tuesday, Trump said he was cancelling the speech "in light of the total bias and dishonesty of the January 6th Unselect Committee of Democrats, two failed Republicans, and the Fake News Media."

He then went on to lob insults at members of the committee, as well as assorted political foes, including "Adam Schifty Schiff" and "Crazy Nancy Pelosi."

Trump tried to blame Pelosi for supposedly not doing enough to stop his supporters from rioting at the Capitol, and also demanded that the House Select Committee investigating said riot look into his baseless claims of voter fraud.

"This was, indeed, the Crime of the Century!" the twice-impeached former president falsely claimed.

Peter Navarro giving up the coup plot on live TV might not be going over so well.

Latest sidestepper by the Trump supporters in my shop is like, "The Democrats should stop harassing Trump and postpone the Jan. 6 investigation until they solve the bigger more important problems they're causing the nation to go through."

It's a really sad yet hilarious spectacle to see Trump's people grasping at straws in his defense. Yet, it does look like the publicizing of the evidence being uncovered by the Jan. 6 investigation, the many convictions the Jan.6 insurrectionists are experiencing and the investigations into the Trump Organized Crime Family's tax evasion ploys are having the desired effect on his supporters.

Forcing them to confront Trump's numerous acts of malfeasance and his blatant use of lies and falsehoods on a daily/hourly basis may compel some of his more lucid members to wake the fuck up and smell the stench they've been ignoring these past years.

The canned reply to anyone complaining about the "problems Biden is causing" should be "turn off Fox News and every one of those problems will disappear from your life forever. Until you stop watching Fox News, your political opinion is worthless."

Hmmm. Trump says he will cancel, but can he resist? We know Trump is chomping at the bit to appease his crowd, and no doubt his crowd will be very sad indeed if Trump cancels. So I wouldn't take this as the last word. Knowing how Trump is, Trump will have to say something, somewhere, to some media outlet, or Trump may self implode.

First of all, it's good that he canceled that...thing he was going to do. Nothing not-horrible would have come of it. Second, it's also good that his reason for doing so is that he's apparently quite rankled by the 1/6 commission. I personally think it's quite toothless, but if it's throwing Trump off and causing him to cancel press appearances, and not to mention personally pissing him off, that is an absolute good.

I think the only hope is that Republicans would be ready to dump Trump. I doubt they could do so and save face here, so they'll have to resort to the same tactics. This whole thing will put Trump back in the spotlight which I don't think anything good can come from.

So you're saying that cancelling a press conference which was meant to put him back in the spotlight is putting him back in the spotlight?

I suspect this was really just an excuse to bow out of giving a speech that would put him in a bad light and/or cost him money. Pretend he's fighting the eeeeevil establishment when he's really just overly sensitive and a cheapskate.

This needs to be shown during the upcoming public hearings. Perhaps shown daily until the gravity sinks in.
Showing the same window get broken over and over works for Fox News so why not play their game with a legitimate video.

Sorry I was referring to public hearings by the Jan 6 committee as referenced by the post above mine. I should have quoted it for clarity.
