Someone said the other day in another thread they wondered if Trump's admin would be the most corrupt after a year. Wondering if they want to revise that timeline a bit.

The real story here isn't so much about Flynn as it is about having at least 9 people in our intelligence community who have committed a felony.

You do realize that for a decent amount of time Flynn took the security briefings, then he'd present his findings to the President correct?
I'll agree we are in even more dangerous waters in regards to leaks & spying services. One of my greatest fears is the intelligence community decides who gets elected and I'm up for a discussion about it in another thread.

It does seem that our intelligence agencies have been infiltrated with anti-American operatives that are willing to do whatever to advance their agenda. Is this Obama, Ben Rhodes, and the supporters of the Iran deal still protecting it at all costs?

So to be clear, you think it is anti-American to reveal that hostile foreign intelligence services have compromised our top national security official and the president is doing nothing about it?

How is it anti-American to expose collusion with Russia that compromises national security and foreign policy? Patriotism does not mean blindly defending the President or his party; it means making sure that those people are serving American interests.

I know the 1984 analogies have been worn out, but it really does seem as if Trump apologists take that Orwellian language to heart. "Freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength... treason is patriotism."

Just how was our national security and foreign policy compromised? Facts please.

How was our top national security official compromised? Because he was talking about his job a month early? Wasn't Trump holding meeting with foreign governments before becoming President?

Its unknown at the moment that is why it needs to be looked into. Facts are Flynn sat in many briefings even before he was appointed, Flynn was responsible to brief Trump about some meetings he (Trump) missed. Flynn lied about what he spoke to a Russian Diplomat about. These are the facts to have a judgement we need to look further.

Because we have one President at a time, at that moment in time the President was Obama. We know it was more than just a chat about his new job because he spoke about the sanctions Obama had just put in place for Russian hacking.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not just basically behind the scenes McCarthyism?
The difference between McCarthyism and this being that Mr. Flynn has been confirmed to have been coordinating with a hostile foreign government to the point that he's resigned because of it, and more staff of the President have very likely been doing the same?

Hm, I dunno lets think about that one.

The Head of the NSA was speaking in the background to Russian Intelligence about who knows what and has resigned ? And the sitting POTUS knew about it and lied about it in regards to Flynn discussing lifting sanctions with Russia etc before Trump was elected, and has denied that ?

The pathetic attempts by the Rebubs/Cons to say basically "no big deal" is sad. They are saying we don't give a shit about our countries security, get over it, we won.

He had communicated to the Russian ambassador about possibly easing sanctions, which would be a likely violation of the Logan act. He then lied to the Vice President and potentially the FBI about it. In the case of the FBI, that would be a felony. This means that the Russian government had material that they could potentially blackmail the National Security Adviser with. Doesn't that sound like he was compromised to you?

And why did trump keep Pence out of the loop? Trump doesn't trust Pence enough to let him know he's saying wrong info about Flynn on national tv. There's definitely something fishy here.
