Usually when someone says something like this some animal-rights defender will point out that such language is unfair to animals.

Anyway, surely partly the problem is just that it's Trump - declaring a bad thing to be bad, to distract attention from all the other bad things he actually supports or noticeably fails to condemn. And doing so with his usual oddly-limited vocabulary and unhelpfully simplistic approach.

To add to this, since i feel Liberals are going about this one the wrong way. When is it ok to call any criminal an 'animal' in the heat of the moment? Some people are just depraved. I get it, Trump isn't calling our white school shooters animals. But he does when the criminal is brown. Based upon his history of bias, you can extrapolate certain attitudes. But that is complicated and not going to win you any PR battles. But when is it ok to call the most depraved among us animals in that sense? When can we simply call someone that as acted very inhumanely, well something inhumane?
