Never should have endorsed Trump in the first place. I'm surprised it took this long. That could be said about a lot of Republicans. But as a tortured veteran who was in politics long before a lot of the recent Tea Party craziness, I really thought McCain had some bit of dignity.

To be fair, though, from what I've observed and heard from others, he's not completely 'all there' these days.

Thought he'd stand up for all Vets and POWs aginst Trump when he personally insulted him. Guess political expediency always trumps morals

Republicans and Republican Party Reap what they sow. They are eating their own and it has been a long time coming. This is the final straw that broke the dam but what about the past year of all these republicans excusing what he has been saying. This is the party and this is their party at the core.

He definitely should have trashed Trump after Trump made the comment "I like people who weren't captured" that was specifically aimed at McCain but insulted all POWs and veterans. If not that, he definitely should have trashed Trump after Trump went after the Khan family and suggested that he had made sacrifices that were equivalent to theirs.

I don't know why he didn't, but I think that probably:

1) He was worried about a Tea Party challenger taking his Republican nomination and getting elected to the Senate. The selfish reason that he would care about this is that he'd lose the Senate seat. The selfLESS reason is that he was worried a complete dumbass would be elected to the Senate.
or
2) His dementia has progressed far enough that he just follows the direction of his handlers.

So, I sympathize with him. Just a bit. Placating people like Trump is not the long term solution to solving the problem, however, which makes me think that if #1 is true McCain was penny wise but pound foolish.

Trump talks about it but Slick Willy does it but hey, it's OK because after all he's a Democrat and talks about doing wonderful things for all the poor folks. Well, except for all the women he molested and/or raped. But hey, times were different then - right?

You know I love you mang but that video is silly. He touched maybe a knee and its only a few seconds and lacks all context even audio is missing. I highly doubt this will/would piss many women off where as Trumps words nearly universally piss women off.
I also suspect if it was longer it would look differently but I have a feeling that would ruin the point the original poster is trying to make.
Trump has not said rewind the tape and you'll hear me say I was reading lines or something else so we can assume Trumps event was real.

So you're saying that women in general like being groped to the extent that they must push away the offender? I had hoped you were smarter than that.

Getting all torqued up over Trump's words while excusing Clinton's actions doesn't make me think too highly of you or anyone else that feels that way.

To get back to the video, you don't know whether this was the first grope or the tenth grope and neither do I but based on the reaction of the guy sitting to Clinton's left, it looks like it wasn't the first time. But it's just good ol' boy's club kinda stuff, right? It's not like he actually spoke any words that would be offensive to her because that would be some serious shit then.

Video is too grainy. I think anyone could see almost anything they want.
As I said earlier our (men's) opinion is nearly meaningless. Trump needs either more black people, more Hispanic people and/or more women to vote for him. He's burned all those bridges, maybe he'll rebuild them in the next 31 days

Put me in that club too. I don't have the power to molest or rape women and get away with it though. I know for certain that Clinton did in fact get away with it.
