Yes it is quite maddening to see how dysfunctional the entirety of the Government is at the moment. I know I'll get beat up for it, but both sides are doing the same shit.

I think the Republicans should have taken the deal offered on the border and funding even though I wasn't too fond of the nearly 5K a day average border crossing before they would close the border. The rest I thought was good. These ass hats in Congress think that any compromise they make is considered as them losing which is blatantly wrong.
Do you have an example of Democrats doing the same shit?

That was not my point.

My point is Trumps actions have been consistent for the past 50 years.

Trump is who he is he has not changed.

Pretty much PCgeek is saying he was ok with Trump for the last 49 years but year 50 nope i cannot take him anymore..

If PCgeek came back and said said something specific that crossed his line then i would have dropped it.
He has answered the question multiple times. IIRC, it was Jan 6th. But if it was because Trump wear a purple tie one day who cares, let people grow. Or at least search for one of the last 50 times a thread has turned in dunking on PCGeek for his Trump votes.

Chuck Schumer is accused of playing 4D chess. :tearsofjoy:

It also allowed Democrats to wring maximum political benefit from the immigration debate without having to follow through with any policy concessions. They were able to signal to voters that they embraced strong border provisions — and blame Republicans for killing them — without having to put the restrictions into force, which would surely have alienated their progressive base.

But Mr. Schumer insisted he never rooted for the demise of the immigration package.

“It was a win-win either way,” he said, “but I would have preferred actual legislation, because the border is still going to be there.”

You get shit because you are wrong. Your very own example shows you exactly who each party is: one tries to work across the isle and the other tries to block everything even when they get almost everything they want. Hell, even the few republicans who work across the isle typically don’t even vote for the bill they worked on (see the ACA).

Are both sides partisan? Sure but they aren’t equal and it’s not even close. The last major Republican legislation that wasn’t a tax cut that democrats voted against was the Medicare part d bill. Do you know what happened when democrats took control over the next session? They didn’t try to weaken the Republican legislation, they didn’t try to repeal it, no instead try tried to fix it (you remember all the talk about the donut hole for Medicare?).

So no, both sides aren’t doing the same shit.

He hasn't said his 2016 was a mistake, despite everything we've seen. We all knew who he was BEFORE the election. Somehow he didn't.

At least Taj renounced Trump. Maybe he got back on that train after, who knows.
None of these conservatives would vote for a Democrat even if they were pregnant with their uncle's rape baby.

I did search

I saw where he mentioned several times where he did say he voted for trump 2 times and will not support him again, but not the reason why.

It is interesting to me when someone can point in time when their mind changed.

Well let’s wait and see until November. I’m not holding my breath that he still won’t vote orange monkey.

If you recall Biden got stuff done before the Pubs took over the House. Now they can't even keep a Speaker let alone pass any legislation.

Not exactly #bothsides
this is why pcgeek is completely irredeemable. Has progressed as far as he can, and it's just not that much. His potential has been reached, and it's dangerous to a decent society.

Ah, old voting for Trump pcgeek has turned to both sideism to distract from his laughably transparent MAGAT misogyny. God, he must swallow Fox “News” 10 hours a day

Still sad...

How old are you now? 60's?

At that rate I look forward to voting for Republicans in 20 years because the Dem candidate is a full blown fascist who sucks the Russian dicators kool-aid and doesn't really care about America, healthcare or LGBT!

It comes in cycles doesn't it.. (coming from someone who would be a proud Eisenhower Republican).

You believe Taj to be an honest person? That's laughable as he has proven time and time again that he is not.

I maybe naive here since you and I'll never agree on LGBT rights, but I don't think at your age I'd be trusting the MAGA party that actively wants to destroy Social Security. The old guys who worshipped it are gone or will be gone soon since they're not sucking up to Trump.

I naively wish social security will still be there for me since I've paid into it almost 3 decades now.

And as much as you might hate the dems for being slimy politicians.. politicians love voters being alive and healthy enough to vote for them in elections.

Unlike rulers! Rulers don't give a shit.. to them we're expendable meat bags just like Putin is treating his own population! We must be cautious of the latter.

So which one of those guys could have flipped the race for Santos's seat yesterday?
None.
Boomer Esiason if he wanted to, yes, he would have beaten Suozzi by 3 points. End of discussion. If Boomer wants to run for office on Long Island, he would win anywhere because his views are prevalent on the island.
