I’d always assume he’d flee the country before sentencing in any of his cases. But he may very well flee the country on election night.
If he's smart if/when he loses the election he probably should flee the country. I think his biggest problem would be to find a country that would take him.

And people might say Venezuela, Russia, China, etc. would be willing and maybe they would, but I think that would entail a massive response from the US that even those countries may be reluctant to deal with. Then again it would be an intelligence coup.

Someone in management would have had to witness it.
From a legal standpoint, that's nonsense. From both personnel reasons (not having their witness/employee subjected to MAGA retribution) and political reasons it may be sufficient to justify their inaction. It does weaken their case in the future if outfits like the Westboro Church decide to demonstrate and film at Arlington.

Problem is regarding intelligence Trump lies so frequently and so often and is comfortable denying stuff he has said I don’t actually believe he’d be much of an asset. He likely paid little attention to the briefs he was given, had little interest in knowing the subject matter and would easily make up lies and stories about what happened.

I agree he's probably far less useful as an intelligence asset than any other president would be but I bet he still knows plenty of useful things.

He's been saying some nice things about Caracas lately unsolicited...

Refuse to believe he would flee anywhere cold.

My guess he'll flee to Belarus. No extradition and not in Russia which would be too much even for his followers to swallow. Even though they have swallowed a lot spewing from Trump when I suggested they spit.

I actually believe Merrick Garland would surreptitiously clear the way for Trump to skip town and bounce his way to a very uncertain "freedom" in some foreign land where they would treat him as a hostage and use him for any manner of transactional benefit.

Like clockwork the former President now says
It was a setup, it could have been the families recording.
Once again he goes after gold star families to avoid being wrong.

For a stable genius grifter, he sure seems to get setup a lot.

I think it's because he's fixated on himself and how he can boost his ratings so it looks better than Kamala's. His campaign staff seems to be just as fixated as he is and they well act accordingly. Breaking a stupid rule or law is OK if Trump is doing it because he's Trump after all. He lies about his numbers any chance he gets. He's so simple minded that he's going all in on trying to make his numbers look good because he thinks that will give him the win over Kamala, never mind that he's lying, fudging and cooking the books to do it.

Also let’s remember about Mr. Bone spurs going to lay a wreath at a fallen soldier’s grave.

I have 27 years active/reserve now retired, and I have two friends from Hawaii resting peace at Arlington and a couple of others at Punchbowl here at home.. From that point of view, having Trump on that hallowed ground is the ultimate act of hypocrisy and desecration. For the fact that he has no problem insulting and denigrating our fallen heroes and in turn going for a photo op and act as if he gives a half a fuck about the very people he previously spat on is vile and egregiously thoughtless.

Some things are really really wrong with what's inside that shyster's head and yet he's still polling near a dead heat with Kamala. It seems what's wrong with him is highly infectious what with millions of folks approving of his criminal ugly behavior.

Lol ... "The family came to me with tears in their eyes and said “Sir" .... Hey Arlington MAGA gold star families, how's the view from underneath the bus? I'm assuming you'll alow him to back over you a few times. No normal person would invite Trump to the grave of a loved one. He never takes responsibility for anything and stands by nothing. He's as transparent as a window.

No American President has treated US troops with more disrespect than Donald Trump.

He also blames Biden. Another nice touch, lol. Speaker Johnson pulled strings to get him in Arlington and he blames it on Biden.

Trump: "I don't know what the rules and regulations are", "I don’t take responsibility at all.' Thank you very much." - Which obviously makes you unqualified to be President.

Not only does Trump not understand why it's bad to hold partisan grandstanding events at the final resting place of our nations defenders, but no one on his campaign staff seems to understand it either. Or just doesn't care.

It's not about whether they care.
It is... "How dare you question Dear Leader".
This is fascism and tyranny at play.
This is the North Korean play book from the GOP.

After the debacle at Arlington, One of Trump’s people decides to double down by attacking the army:

“Reposting this hoping to trigger the hacks at @SecArmy,” LaCivita wrote Thursday afternoon, resharing a campaign video of Donald Trump at Arlington National Cemetery earlier this week.

Smooth move. Just as the idiocy was somewhat fading from the news, do something to bring it up again. What’s next? Killing a puppy with a hammer at a live event?

He's not calling for hacking, he's calling them "hacks" and "triggering" them like the righties think they always do to people who disagree with them.

That is pure unadulterated raw hubris of the chin jutting sneery eyed teeth baring variety from that lackey of Trump's. It' plain to see that every single one his stooges have taken on the same detestable arrogant persona that Trump is notoriously known for and for some stupid misguided reason the folks that are going to vote for him thinks that's the kind of guy that should be leading the most powerful nation in the world.

There's some really fucked up mental gymnastics going on in that party of theirs that's directly attributable to Trump's own fucked up personality disorders. This aberration of nature that Fred and Mary Trump sired must have had some seriously unnatural debilitating complications for Donald to turn out that way.
