TrueBlue 480 rear fan is not moving

Hi,

I got my Antec TrueBlue 480 a week ago and I discover that the fan on rear (facing outside on the back of my case) is idle, not moving at all. Is it normal because of Antec's Quiet Technology (i.e., will it turn on if the temp is higher)?

Thanks.

If you just bought that PSU, RMA it for one without a broken fan. If you can't RMA it, if you feel comfortable doing some soldering, you can take that fan out and replace it (WARNING: If you do this, be SURE not to touch any of the electrical components in there as some can hold charges high enough to do bad things). If you don't feel comfortable doing this, you could always trade that to me for my TrueBlue430! 😉

It's not normal... the quiet technology will only make it spin slower, never come to a complete halt. Send it to antec and get a new one.

Hahahahha
the quiet technology makes the fan spins at 1000RPM
i think it makes no difference!!!
should be ok running without fan
either way maybe you get a chance to see the fireball!!!
its quiet indeed.

Thanks guys. I used a pen to turn the fan through the grill and it has been working ever since.

Maybe something was stuck and jammed the fan up keeping it from spinning and you just broke it free. Much easier than RMAing it or replacing it! 🙂
