Anyone use it, any suggestions on what flavor to get? Does it need sweeteners, I have taken other protein's but not sure if they were sweetened or not? And why is it so damn cheap? whats the difference in taste between the 5 different kinds of whey? I'm also thinking about picking up some creatine, whats the difference between normal monohydrate and their pure German monohydrate? Are their Creatine Ethyl Ester HCL pills are worse than the powder monohydrate? How would the pills compare? And would BCAA benifit me at all?

Can't say anything about the protein, but I can mention some info on creatine. Creatine monohydrate is the best researched form of creatine and that research shows that it works well. Other forms of creatine aren't as well researched and don't have as powerful an academic base. Creatine monohydrate works and other research hasn't shown other creatine forms working better (typically they work less well) so by all defaults, I'd stick with creatine monohydrate. Also, you don't need BCAA's. They can hinder the absorption of particular amino acids due to large flux of other ones. If you get enough protein in your diet, BCAA supps would have a minimal effect.

I bought 3 lbs. of unsweetened chocolate (blended concentrate and cold-filtration isolate). It's not bad, but if I had it to do over again, I'd probably go with the premium Dutch Chocolate Fudge.

Most protein that you buy off the shelf has sweeteners and other stuff in it.

Protein: I just stick with the brand Optimum Nutrition. I havent had any that I thought tasted bad. I have used it for years. It is really low in carbs too.

i thought trueprotein is unflavored. you can either get one of their blends which have certain flavors or you can build your own blend with your % of sweeteners or something.

Not sure what the flavor adds to it, but their unflavored has 0 carbs.

It is unflavored, but you can add flavor and/or sweeteners and/or supplements. you can also have them premix different supplements they offer. I went with French Vanilla, I'll see how I like it...

The BCAA stuff really depends...you do need them though, in any complete protein you should get them.

Now supplementing past 5g or so extra a day is a bit excessive for most. Many protein powders have them incorporated.

With creatine I get good results on almost all types, but monohydrate is the cheapest and works just as good.

IMHO OP Optimum Nutrition Whey and Casein are all you need. Delicous, nutritous and cheap.

I only buy protein and use them when I can find a deal. I do just fine without it though.

Given the choice of taking one over the other, I'd probably take the creatine.

I figured I would just bump this rather than start a new thread. I got my order in today and there are not labels that say how much of the creatine monohydrate I should take and a quick Google gave me 100 different numbers. So how much creatine should I take daily? I have a 70cc scoop, would 1 scoop twice a day be ok or is that over kill? I really just don't want to waste any.

holy fucking fail...where did you read anywhere take 70cc was an option.

It's about 5g a day for most people.

I load about 20-25g/day the first week.

no the scoop I have is 70cc... I read from 5-30g/day which was a pretty large gap. So it looks like I need to get a smaller scoop, because it looks like 10cc is about 6g. Thanks alkemyst, didn't know you could be helpful outside of OT 🙂

Lmao, wtf did they give you? The whey protein scoop? That's ridiculous 😱
