True or False: Blue Sky Cola kinda tastes like ass

Dunno WTF Blue Sky Cola is, but I got some "Pepsi Natural" to try (made with cane sugar) and couldn't tell much difference from the normal stuff. Seemed a bit... I dunno... lighter? Fluffier? But not by much.

Your poll sucks balls. I don't know what this Blue Sky Cola shit is, but Pepsi Throwback is AMAZING. It tastes just like Pepsi from outside the US, where despite the fact that the general populace is often poor as shit, they somehow manage to pony up the "expense" of real cane sugar vs. HFCS. Fuck HFCS (in soda).

Link

It isn't a very popular brand. Only one store around me carries it.

its not that other countries pony up for it, its that the U.S. is a corn country

Fuck the US corn industry. They're dicking us over on soda and they are trying to cripple us with corn based fuels that are more expensive than every other alternative, with some netting NEGATIVE energy.

I'm beyond bullshit about the fact that Pepsi Throwback isn't around here. I found 20 oz bottles in one Wal-Mart for a 1.50 apiece. Screw that, where's my 12 rack of cans? Natural sugar REALLY does make a difference, I've hopped the border to mexico almost solely to get some Coke, and have scrutinized labels for an hour trying to find some Passover Pepsi. And let's not even discuss the many 4 packs of Boylans I purchased for 7.99 apiece back in the day.

This. There's no evil corn lobby. HCFS is simply cheaper. I think it's also banned in some countries or something, isn't it? I can't imagine Mexican coke uses real sugar because people have got so much money to burn over there.

edit: Check that, there is of course an evil corn lobby. They're just not behind HCFS in my Pepsi.

Bah, I wanna try Pepsi Throwback, but I can't find it anywhere around here. If anyone in Denver knows where it can be bought, let me know.

It's got a more subtle earthy aroma with just a hint of nuts.

Blah, the window kept resizing causing me to hit the button.

There's also the U.S. sugar lobbyists which are worse than the corn and are the reason for the excessive sugar tariffs.

Oh and Pepsi Throwback is just ok, I actually prefer the hfcs Pepsi as it tastes sweeter. Throwback tastes like Coke without the aftertaste.

If that was a type of coffee it'd be called Sumantra.

I used to be addicted to HFCS, I hate the stuff now.

HFCS can only be metabolized in you liver (like alcohol and caffeine) whereas cane sugar can be metabolized by every cell in your body. The liver dependency makes it addictive, which is why it's in soda so we buy it more. Just like caffeine. You think Coke cares if you're awake or not?

HFCS is in soda because it is cheaper than US sugar. Awhile back I went on a tour of the Domino New York City cane sugar processing plant. I commented to the sales rep that he had a sweet business. He said business was pretty good but it hurt alot when the soda companies were allowed to use HFCS. I think that facility is closed now.

Look for a bodega and pick up some Mexican Coke. It's usually what I do.

pepsi throwback with real sugar is actuall not as sweet. one of you mentioned this in your post.

coke with sugar is the shit though. i can get this whenever I want.

Pepsi and Coke with real sugar is delicious. Mountain Dew, on the other hand, is not nearly as good with real sugar.
