I use to use an older version of TI with XP and it was rock solid for me. Switched to TI 2010 due to compatibility issues with Win 7. It had more bloatbut it did work for me. Now with my lasted build. I tried a trial of TI 2013 that caused some bsod's with my current system. Now i picked up TI 2012 cheap from the Newegg labor day sale. After seeing all the complaints about it at Newegg, Amazon, Cnet. I am afraid to install it. What is the consensus on it around here. Is the final version stable ?

Yes it is, I am using it just fine, this is the version I am using since months:

Acronis True Image Home 2012 15.0.0 (Build 7133)

On a side note, I am only using it coz I own the license. But during the initial days when 2012 was first released, it was unstable and I was actually using:

Acronis True Image Home 2011 v14.0.0.6942

To be honest with you, I feel 2011 version is lighter, less bloat, and works perfectly with Windows 7

I used TI 2012 for about a year, and I just upgraded to TI 2013 - and put it on a thumb drive. Itmade my new SSD installation quick and easy.

They added Breakthrough Sync, Mobile File Access and it now works with Windows 8 in the 2013 version per the web site.

I have the latest build of the 2012 version.

I always run TI from the bootable media and not inside Windows. Given that, any reason why the 2012 version wouldn't work with Win8 for creating disk images?

None whatsoever.
