yeah.. not bad at all. . Ana Paquin grew up to have a hot bod.. needs some orthodontia work, though..
 
i'll give it a few more episodes. i'll have to rewatch the first episode. If i can get through the first episode, i'll watch the rest of the season.
 
i only made it through 3/4 of the first episode last night, I'll watch the rest tonight, but what I saw was fucking horrible.
 
Much better than expected. The promos made it look truly terrible. They kept talking about how different it was and then they'd tell us things that were in every other vampire TV show ever. But it did have some interesting elements, and the tone was very much Alan Ball. Maybe I was blinded by expectations of it being terrible, but I liked it, despite some of the stupid characters. Way better than Moonlight, at least.
 
I watched it last night, was gonna make a new thread.

The trailer and website make it look terrible. Its not half bad, ill watch the next episode. There's some gratuitous nudity that doesnt really add any value, but the premise is cool.
 
I didn't like it, but I'll watch the next episode. If the next episode is no good then I'll stop watching it. Speaking of HBO why is Inside the NFL on Showtime now?
 
It was shit. The acting was barely acceptable, the script was excruciatingly stilted and banal and the story meandered incessantly. Every character was unlikable and talked with the fakest southern accent imaginable. And why the hell are the fangs on the vampire NOT the canine teeth? Retarded on every front. The only reason to keep watching at this point is because, like John From Cincinatti, they set up so many unexplained story lines that you kinda wanna see if they'll ever resolve any of them.
 
Only reason I'm watching it is 'cause Anna Paquin's in it. It's not gonna get a 2nd season. It's quite bad.

Oh, not every vampire mythos has the fangs as the canines, DangerAardvark, see Max Shreck as Nosferatu or the White Wolf WoD setting. The locations of vampire fangs vary. One can make the argument that a vampire's fangs should always be the front two teeth because that's where the fangs of the vampire bat are.
 
I am a true vampire guy, but I thought it was pretty lame. I am going to watch a couple more episodes, but the premise that they are like "out of the closet" is not very good.
 
I love southern gothic stuff....

Some of the fake accents are brutal though. Just absolutely brutal. I understand the main actors aren't southern, but would it kill them to use extras who are from the south?
