Trudeau resigns.

Yes Canadians were getting tired of him. But maple MAGA Poilievre isn’t the solution. Wonder which Liberal will become new leader of the party?
 
I don’t follow Canadian politics in the slightest (well really any politics outside of the US), what were peoples main issues with him? What was his political leaning?
 
I don't like Trudeau but I think he shouldn't resign.

Whoever leads the Liberals will take the blame for the coming Liberal loss which will be huge.
 
Good riddance! I'm surprised but also not THAT surprised, given the narcissist he is. He knew he was going to lose, now he can say he went on his own term, and his supporters will probably even say he would have won again. Hopefully this also means an early election and we can get rid of the liberals altogether. Time to rebuild the nation. Poilievre is going to have a lot of work ahead of him.

He was pretty bad. Good riddance to that guy! He reminded me of Angela Merkel, who was equally terrible.

The real question to ask is why is MAGA considered bad? Why is it bad to want to make your country great again? That's all we want. Liberalism is a disease that puts itself and the establishment first, at the expense of the people. Conservatives are for the working class and for a smaller government that spends less and takes less from us. That is badly what we need right now. Trudeau's out of control spending and lack of thought on monetary policy and thinking the budget will balance itself is hurting all of us and the damage will be felt for generations. Harper was right when he said Trudeau will be a disaster for Canada. I didn't even like Harper at the time, but looking back he was a way better PM. I would love to think the conservatives can bring us back to good times, but I don't know if even they will be able to fix this mess. But they are the best choice out of the available candidates.
