If the board is bad, that can account for the system errors.
Looks like you are o/c the memory--can it try it at 2400 MHz ?
I do not have WimFsF.sys on my system. Who dat ?

$250 and a day later, new board in, exact same behavior. Crashes at the exact same spot.
I have the corsair h100, is that the one damaging pins? Seems really unlikely that i would trash the pins the exact same way 2x...but I am lucky like that I guess.
Was really hoping the new board would do the trick.

Downclocklng the memory led to the same result. (this time system thread exception not handled.)

I tried each one of the 4 dimms one at a time and got the exact same results each time.
At this point, I feel like I either damaged the pins again, or its the processor.

I really feel like I am missing something simple...Not sure I want to spend another 350 troubleshooting this, but at this point I feel like I have no other options.

grab a magnifying glass and check the pins on both boards.

do you have a friend with a compatible board to test the cpu on?

New CPU arrived and installed.
Success (at least so far).

Tons of thanks to you guys for helping walk me through the most likely culprits and ideas for things to troubleshoot.
Really appreciate it.

Wow. Truly the least likely part of a computer to go bad. Glad you finally have a working computer!
