Troubles with Daikatana

First off, yes the game sucks. But it's the only first person shooter I've got left to beat.

When I try to load my last game save, or any of the last 3 prior to that, the program bombs out, drops back to the Windows desktop, and gives me a little grey error box that says: Z_Free: bad magic. There's an OK button underneath it, that's it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The answer to your problem is to try to sell your disk on egay and watch the dummies who bid there pay you alot of $$$ for that useless piece of plastic.

I was looking for someone that might actually have a brain in their head to give me a straight answer. Now I know why I hardly ever leave Distributed Computing, lack of intelligence everywhere else. 🙁

It's not a lack of intelligence, it's a lack of SYMPATHY.

There are tons of good games coming out now and soon. You can't get the time you waste on that green POS back, so spare yourself the agony and move along.

Have a nice day.🙂

DefRef, You can call it what you like, but I still didn't come here to take abuse. All I want is an answer. If you can't supply one SHUT THE HE11 UP!!!

Sorry to lack the compassion you seek.
Try looking here for some boards that have people who play the dumb game.

You're welcome.

DefRef, Sorry to get harsh, but I need help with the game. I've been to all those message boards already. That's why I thought I'd give the AnandTech boards a try. I only found one guy that had a similar problem, and no one answered his question either.

I took your advice and started playing Rune. Much better game than Daikatana, just wish it was first person instead of third person. You can make it almost first person using the scroll wheel, but the up and down bobbing while walking makes me sick.
