I have a Geforce 2 GTS, KG7-RAID, AthlonXP 1800+, 300w PS. Running WinXP 21.88 Nvidia reference drivers, i've also tried the officially released nvidia drivers.

When I play MPEGs, i get vertical lines on the video. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for them to appear. I'm running my refresh rate at 85Hz. I've tried both of my monitors, it creates these lines on both of them (Sony G200 & Compaq P900). If I lower the refresh rate to 70Hz these lines don't appear. I tried taking a screenshot but the video just appears as black. What's the deal?

What type of codec are you using? What version of media player? Also, does this happen with every video, or just 1?

Does it on all MPEGs. I just tried lowering my refresh rate but the lines did not go away.

Windows Media Player Version 7..01.00.3055

How do I determine what codec I'm using? I haven't messed with it at all with the exception of installing the DiVX Codec.
