Well, we had these LAN-parties and everything worked out well until we decided to play Battlefield 1942 and other games. All my friends have Win XP Pros in english or Home in english and I'm the only one who has Home in finnish...I was able to download from their computers via the net but when trying to find the server in BF and other games, it wasn't there...does anyone know what is the problem. I think it is in the game or in the language settings of my comp. because the net worked well outside games. I turned of all the extra programs and the firewall was down too...
 
Hmmm...I dunno what would cause this. Does BF1942 come in a separate Finnish language version? Or is there a specification that it only works on English language versions of Windows? I don't think the game itself depends on the operating system language version, because none of the text is using Windows fonts or anything of that nature, and IP addresses are the same for any system, and domain names are almost entirely in English.

Can you set your computer to English language settings?
