Trouble With WinModem

My USR winmodem connects to the internet fine but when I try to diconnect my whole system locks-up. What's wrong?

Try reinstalling the drivers for the modem.

Also, you may want to try reinstalling dial-up networking. You can do this through Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, to the Windows Setup tab, and it should be under the Communications section. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I don't have a Win98 machine near me or I would check, that was all off the top of my head.

1. Check for latest Drivers
2. If you re-installed DUN then go to step 3
3. Re-Install Windows and see what happenes... might fix corrupted file...
