Yes, laugh at the silly gurl who wasted her money on this awful videocard. But at $25, I didn't think I'd get a better deal. Anyway, the probulem is this. I have a Duron 900Mhz, with 192MB of RAM and an Savage4 32MB videocard. Now, I never usally turn my PC off, because I run an NT OS, there's really no need. But I turned my monitor back on this morning, and my screen was marred with ugly discolorations (I have a screenshot available on request). At first, I thought I had better reboot, so I did so, and even the POST screen was effected by these odd odd marks on the screen, which erased the possibility of it being a driver problem. So I next thought it could be my monitor, so I dug up an old OLD monitor from my bedroom, plugged it in, and exprianced the SAME problem. So to cut a long story short, I'm now running on a 512k Trident video card from my 486 and I'm not a happy girl.

What do you guys think? Is there any way to fix the card?

Ok, I have had this problem with the Stealth III S540 Xtreme. Actually what happened is that I bought it from Best Buy, plugged it into my computer, and had the ugly screen. I completely reformatted, but nothing was able to help. I returned the card, and got a replacement, and the same thing happened again!

There was a hot deal on the card, so I returned it, and ordered it online. Put that in the system, and it worked properly! The only thing that I can think of was that the two of them from BB were busted. You can see My Rig specs in my sig...

Besides that, I would have to guess that your video card is dead :( Try calling the manufacturer and see if you can get it replaced.

Not familiar with the video card, but.....

If you turn off the system for like 30+ miniutes, and back on, do the objects appear on the boot-up screen?

If not, I would open your case and make sure the card is being cooled properly. If it has only a heatsink, make sure it hasn't come loose. If also has a fan, make sure it's spinning. Any exaust fans...like on the PS? Are they working?

You turn off your monitor at night, but the video card is still working full tilt.... could be overheating.

Best bet if you're still having problems is to exchange it at place of purchase, or contact manufacturer for a RMA....
