Trouble with Promise Ultra133 TX2 IDE controller and NF4 Motherboard

I'm building a file server, so I need the extra IDE controller. The system works fine with the controller installed, but as soon as I hook up an IDE drive it quits booting into the OS. It will go thru the normal post but it stops short of loading the OS.

Is there a problem with the Promise Ultra133 TX2 controller and the NF4 motherboards?
 
I think I had the same issue. I gave up and the card is just sitting on the bottom of the case.
