Trouble with PDF or Windows?? Sorry I'm a N00B

Ok, this is the problem, I am currently running an IBM Thinkpad (T41). It has Windows XP Profession (SP2) installed. I tried saving a PDF file on the network and I get this retarded message.

"The disk you were saving to or the disk used for temporary files is full. Free some space on this disk and try again or save to a different disk"

However, I save the PDF file onto my C:\ it saves perfectly fine. Now the weird part. I can COPY/CUT and then paste this file straight into the network. No errors.

I thought it might have been a problem with the name that I was using however I saved it with the same name on the C:\ drive and copied that same exact file onto the network. So in other words I found a way around it, but it bothers the heck out of me that I can't save it directly. Anyone know what the problem might be??

ANY and ALL advice will be much appreciated!! Thanks guys!

Details on the "network" you are saving to? Do you have access rights? And do you have the latest version of Adove? I can't think of an explanation, but I can think of a work around: save PDF files to HDD and send to network. GL and don't be sorry for being a n00b, everyone's a n00b about something.

Thanks for the reply and the words of encouragement! But seriously I'm NEWB R US and hoping this forum will one day make me a guru ^^.

Thanks for the tip!

Being a NEWB is fine, we all were at one time. Only with some of us, it was before the term became popular. I feel old, and I'm still in my teens. Damn. Sounds like some wierd drive restiction and a sh*tty security policy.

forumjunkie.....

The network location you are trying to save the PDF file to, can you save a WORD or EXCEL document there? If not, then you will not be able to save a PDF there.

If you can save a word DOC or XLS file, then I'm not sure what the problem is.

Might wanna check with your local IT Support staff.
