Trouble with Internet Explorer and Flash

One of my computers is unable to load up websites with flash. A good example is pampers.com. I think it has to do with flash. Basically, IE sits there for about 5 minutes doing nothing trying to load the page up. Sometimes it hard freezes making it necessary to shut down IE. Other times it loads it up, but crashes when I try to do anything.

I have tried uninstalling Flash and reinstalling with no difference. I really could use some ideas as I'm really stuck on what to do next.

More info is needed. What OS? What version of internet explorer? Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling IE? Tried other browsers (firefox/chrome)?

windows xp sp3, ie 8. I haven't tried uninstalling IE as I wasn't aware you could. Should I try uninstalling IE and reinstalling first or download firefox to give that a try first?

You could supplant IE with any browser as long as you are comfortable using it. Use what works for you. If the reinstall doesn't work for whatever reason I would look into sidestepping IE (use firefox/any ole browser) until I either found a fix or was ready for nuke and pave.

I downloaded Chrome. Things are working alot better as flash seems to be working. The one problem is my work uses the web for reports. For some of the reports, I get "Loading for the first time...." but nothing happens. It's almost like Java isn't working right. Does Chrome use java or do I need to install it?

need to install the plugin for it. Should prompt you. Also you can get a extension for chrome that will allow you to open it within IE while in chrome.
