Trouble with images and video (garbled). Is it my CPU or currupted HD?

My power supply recently burnt out and when I replaced it most pictures and all video were garbled. I have swapped the video card, motherboard, and even the RAM, but the same problem occurs. I have narrowed it down to either my CPU or a corrupted harddrive. What is more likely the problem? Could the power supply burnout have damaged the CPU so that pictures and video are messed up?

What kind of slot is your video card using, PCI or AGP? Try using a video card in a different slot, maybe? I had a slot mess up on me when one of my old computer's power supplies went out. I replaced the power supply, and windows would detect whatever was in the slot but then hard lock. Using other slots with the same PCI cards and they work fine.

Hrm, I can't see how a processor can garble just movie and picture files. If the garble is exactly the same pattern and at the same time in movies when you watch them multiple times, I'd say it would be the harddrive (if that's waht it was running from) You didn't say that you swapped the harddrive...
